That would be great IMO.

ofc a split into one "games" foe-list and one "forum" foes-list would be good also. ;)

Then how about a re-direct like the one we get when we post here???

reverse Foe list warning message

Postby pissedoffsol on Tue Sep 09, 2008 4:50 pm

Display a warning when joining members of your foe list games
  • Currently, when you try to join someone who has foed you, you are disabled from doing so.
  • However, the reverse is not true. With an ever-growing foe list, it's hard to remember who i foed long ago. If they didn't foe me, I can join their game even though i probably don't want to.

Specifics:
  • When joining an existing game, check the joinee's foe list against the list currently joined members.
  • Preferably with javascript, confirm("XXXXX is on your foe list. Are you sure you want to join this game?"); when the "Join game" link is clicked.
  • Another option would be to display foes in a different color or with some background icon next to it to denote a foe on the 'join games' menu.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • It will keep a lot of old feuds from being re-kindled, and the retaliatory bad feedback, etc
  • You will know why you seem to be missing chat (as foes chat is not displayed)
15k Games and counting!

I have wanted this for a long time. I even suggested it once. I was in a hurry to join a rt once and didn't realize there was someone in the game that I had on my ignore list. I never ever want to play with this person and didn't even think to look if he was in the game. I was the last to join and there was no way to exit.

As much as it PAINS me to agree with Glide, I must do so here. Even blind bears catch a penguin every now and then!

Games with foes

Postby theconquerer1995 on Wed Dec 03, 2008 4:05 pm

Concise description:
  • I think that we should be able to play games with our foes.

Specifics:
  • When you join a game that has a foe in it, it would warn you that there was a foe of yours in the game and if you still wanted to play the game.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • If you feel like beating the crap out of one of your foes, you'd be able to do it.

Maybe you should just try remembering who is on your foe list?

Here is another reason that this is a good idea. Say that you were in a clan war, and all of the games except one were filled up. You wanted to join that game, but it had a foe in it. You wouldn't be able to play the game.

It sounds like a great idea to me :)

Being foed would probably be a problem with tournaments and, as you say, clan wars etc.

I think you should have some lease over who can join your games though...maybe when a foe of yours tries to join your game you have to "accept/admit" them first ?

This is a terrible idea... I put people on my foe list because I don't want to play them, plain and simple.

Yes, and if they are on your foe list they cannot join your game. The complaint here is when you are on their foe list. In that case they can join your game. If you don't want to play them at all, put them on your foe list.

You already can play people on YOUR foe list. ... You just cannot join if they have you on THEIR list.
