- Allow users to define what the color of a player looks like
Specifics/Details:
- there should be 1 option do define the color in chat, log, playerlist and on the map
- maybe the color code could be defined by the player as well, so that you can come up with a sensible letter that corresponds with the chosen color.
- often times players refer to other players by their color. maybe it should be possible to enter code in the chatline. lets say you have a yellow player in ur game and u have defined his color code as y. it would be convenient if u were able to adress the yellow player as /y in chat. /y should be subtitued by the player's name, made bolt and assigned the color that the viewer of the message has assigned to that playerslot. so if i decide the first player should be yellow when i type /y the name should appear yellow. another player in the game might have set it up so that the first player is red. so he should see the name in red in the chat window when sby else is adressing him.
- all this could happen if there was added a box where one could enter an 8bit HTML RGB color code like #FF0000 for 255,0,0 red
- a visual color picker could do the job as well for the less geeky players among us
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
- when people think a color is too bright, dark or just plain ugly they can change it them selves (instead of bugging this forum XD)
- players that are visualy impared can pick colors that they can distinct from each other
- custumisability is an advantage... always
