- A function in your account to set a specific member to play your turns
Specifics/Details:
- A function in the control panel that allows you to set your account in sitting mode. Once set in sitting mode, you can select what player has access to your games. That other player would then have a tab appear beside ACTIVE GAMES, and it would be DARTHFROG'S GAMES to which he would then have the list of that player's games.
- If the players are in games together that are not team based, they could get a warning that games that a secondary sitter is needed. There could be a limit of X number of sitters that you can set up.
- To avoid sitting abuse (which I would imagine could happen in freestyle games), once the account is set up to be sat, the account owner would then no be able to play his/her turns for the next 24 hours.
- There is a lot of different things that could be done with this, the above are the basic idea.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
- in light of: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=143433, I figured I would post this suggestion I have thought about for a bit (and could not find another suggestion of it while searching the forum)
- I'm actually quite surprised at the amount of password sharing on this site. I understand the need, but a function like what I suggest would avoid situations like the link posted above.
- For those like myself who don't want to give away their password, they would be able to have an easy way to have someone help them in need.
- With an account sitting function, the site could ban the logging in to other accounts, and be able to limit and govern what another players can do with someone else's account, like being able to join them to games, taking turns in games they are both in but not on the same team, etc.
- An automatic message could be sent in the game chat when someone is taking a turn for the account they are sitting, so everyone is always aware of who is playing the account if it's not the account owner.
