Option to turn the click-able maps feature on/off

Postby Gogatron on Fri Apr 22, 2011 7:58 pm

Concise description:
  • Have a check box option in the game settings to turn the click-able maps feature on.

Specifics/Details:
  • The feature ideally would allow the user to turn all hot keys/shortcuts, that the new click-able maps added, on or off depending on preference.
  • In my opinion the option should at first be left off(that's why I say option to turn feature on). But this is not my main concern.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • This would allow users who do not want the additional hot keys/short cuts on to turn them off. On the flip side if you want them on forever you can just turn them on and forget about the whole stinking option...
  • Allows flexible usage of your feature, for instance; I would leave click-able maps off until I started a turn then would turn them on to finish the turn, turning it off afterward.
  • If the feature is left off first then any old users coming back to the site will not have had a bad incident with something they didn't expect. *off topic* I would probably update the main site description to mention there are clicky maps and such...because it is a cool feature.

bump for another turn mis-started. It may ultimately be my fault but it could be avoided. Started typing to my partner but the chat field didnt have focus...bing turn started.

Seriously I think that fact that this is not an option is pretty ridiculous.

In fact I'll offer to buy premium if you fix this CC....

Where does it say that? / What does it say??

edit: Not that I dont believe you, but I just have made alot of noise about this and gotten no reply really. This is certainly the first I'm hearing about it already being in anywhere...

On a serious note though, this seems perfectly reasonable as a request. Clearly the issue is not turning the clickable maps feature off, it's just the keyboard input feature that's causing the problem.
