Concise description:
The game creator can make it so that the map for gameplay is randomly chosen out of a selected number of maps, not all of the maps.
Specifics/Details:
-When choosing random as the map selection, the creator of the game can choose either "all" or "select" options.
-"All" would simply include all maps, as is currently the case.
-"Select" allows the player choose up to x number or maps from the entire selection that the random map could appear as.
-When looking to join an already created game on random, the map title would appear as either All Random or Selective Random.
-If it appears as Selective Random, the joiners must be able to click on Selective Random to open a window that lists all of the selected potentials, this way they can make an informed decision on whether or not they want to join.
-Select random games should probably not count toward the random medal.
-New recruits should probably not see these games.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
-There are many players who enjoy random, but some get discouraged when a map like doodle earth or duck and cover pops up, because these maps can be all about the drop, luck, who goes first, etc. (This is especially annoying in 1v1 games!!) Others get discouraged when maps like clandemonium, hive, etc. pop up. With this feature, no need to be discouraged!
-Some players also like the experience of playing and mastering a wide variety of maps, and random is a great way to do so while also saying, "I am not afraid to play some complicated shit!" However, like I said before, when a simple map pops up and one finds themself out of the game quickly, random can start looking more foolish than fun. Risk is fun, play slots (for no money) is not fun.
-It can also be tough to choose what game to set up to invite some friends into because there might be two or three maps that everyone loves, but you can't choose one! Maybe one player wants waterloo, another wants world 2.1, and another wants classic. Well, now you can throw 'em all into the Select Random setting and none of the other players can call you out for being biased! Ev'rybody-a-happy!
