[GP] Substitute when someone is removed from a game

Postby Heavy-D on Sun May 06, 2012 1:50 pm

I took a look for this subject and could not find and I apologize if it exists.

What I propose is a new tab under Join games that would be to take the spot of a player who has been removed from a team game. So if someone misses to many turns or is banned and all their games are dropped the other players in that game will be less affected if someone was able to fill the hole left.

Scoring would be changed so that the removed player was automatically deducted the points for a loss. The player entering the game would not gain or lose points. I believe there would be more than enough players to join these game just for fun, experience and to help out their fellow CC players.

This would benefit the CC community by filling the awkward changes to a game when a player is removed from a team game. CC members could also gain experience in team
Games without worrying about losing points or bringing down their team mates since they would be providing a needed service. Thirdly this would eliminate a possible cheat area where a player is removed and all territories and troops are given to the next team
Player.

I hope this idea could be considered and further developed for the further development of CC

Not the worst idea I've ever heard.

have you considered what would happen when a game is almost over? what if someone joins, and their team wins before their first turn. a better option would be to split the territs between team members or give them to a random/high-ranked/low-ranked/similarly-ranked team member

let's say my team plays against your team and i'm losing. at some point your teammate is kicked out for being a cheater. at that moment, if your suggestion is implemented, what's stopping me from asking a friend of mine to join your team and give me the game? especially since he won't be losing any points
