[EoA] Commonly Used Abbreviations List

There appears to be a often used lingo on walls, in game, and on the forums. It would be nice to have a list somewhere that will let people know what the short terms are... almost like a "texting" guide is.

Concise description:
One short term that I see is misused...
rt = Re-Try or is it Real-Time?

A few of the often used are:
gl = good luck
gla = good luck all
gg = good game

Specifics/Details:
Maybe just a quick list on the forum or a tab for the newbies to use, or the experienced ones to make sure they are all on the same page.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
This will also allow the newbies to learn the common courtesy associated with most games. I think it is good to always give luck, and concede the game with a good game.

Just a thought. There may even be a list and I didnt see it. I'm still fairly new.

Is this really needed? I've had people ask me in game chat what something means and I tell them. I think I figured most of them out myself when I say hi hf at the top of every game I joined. I would think that either of these would be sufficient and less work for a newb than trying to find the forum post with common abbreviations.

No.

Considering my age and the ability to embarrass my kids easily just by walking into a room, I get the majority of them. Ones I don't, easy to look them up or ask.

If you are speaking of native english speaker you are probably right, but speaking of people from other country sometimes it's difficult to know.

I'm a fairly young guy (25), and I am usually pretty good with abbreviations and text talk... but some of them throw me for a loop and I have to think about it.

GLHF = good luck, have fun - i would have never got that one!

This seems to me to be the best solution. I'm not sure how often it will get used though. I still think most of these questions could or should get answered in LC or GC (livechat or gamechat )
