Add 'Join A Speed Game' in the left column under Game Menu.
This may get more people into speed games as it'll be a reminder. Plus when a freemium clicks it, it can say "please purchase premium" which should attract more premium memberships.

I also completely agree on the please purchase premium idea. Some message like:
To join and play as many speed games as you like, you need to purchase premium.
Click here to purchase premium.
