Concise description:
Flame Wars posts should not be included in a users forum post count.
Specifics:
Flame Wars posts should not be included in the forum post count, in the same way as Chatter Box posts are currently.
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
Flame Wars doesn't contribute anything to the site, and this would go some way to emphasising it.
It might discouraging flaming, or at least give the impression that it is generally unwelcome.

This suggestion evolved from this post:
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... 9#p1550833 in the thread about re-adding Chatter Box posts to the post count.

I think the official response to this last time was...
"FW is meant to be about CC - thus it counts" - I reckon this argument falls as flat as a pancake -> so agree with Mr B.

I think if that has something to do with CC so should Off-Topic Topics, That's to do with the opinions of people on CC

most flames aren't CC related at all, they're just calling another player an asshole or something to that nature

I totally agree with this suggestion.
The idea that the bulk of FW posts have anything to do with CC (or with comprehensible dialogue) is laughable at best.
Stop us accumulating posts in there; it'd be fair on those in Chatter Box, would discourage spam-whores posting bilge in there to bump their post-counts (Hi Apey!), and would mean that only Risk-related posts were counted in user's post-totals.

Agreed.
Not including posts in the Flame Wars forum towards the post count could dissuade those users using it to boost their post counts, or it might not. But either way, it can do no harm. I seriously doubt users will be encouraged to post more frequently in Flame Wars if the posts don't count.
Sounds like a win-win to me, but then I also don't think of the forum post count as a contest.

I think that all forums should, or not at all.
Why should flame wars posts not count toward post counts?
Flame wars is fairly inactive as it is, why make it more?

The whole point is to get rid of FW as a whole, and I agree, post counts should be based only off CC related forums

it's 500, right below your name in posts and on your profile
and yes, the whole idea is to get rid of FW, as too many people are flaming out of FW (I personally think it would be a good idea to drop FW)
