Being insanely active for the past 7 years (I'm
ManBungalow's fountain of CC knowledge
), I've seen a few rodeos here at Conquer Club (my favorite is when we made turtle soup out of Lack). I used to work for the
Tournament Newsletter forever ago with
Gozar in the tournament forum. Gozar was a pretty neat guy back in the day, he was a clanmate of mine and was a tournamentaholic (most from that era are gone now
). He hasn't been active for the past 3 years, but was active for about a 3 year span. Like with what happened to my old
Hall of Fame, the tournament forum just became too large for any one man to keep up with (or a few, for that matter, since communication would be super important). Tournaments would boom and I would not be able to keep up with it as a Tournament Director, or even ask for help because it was all growing exponentially. With that, I told Lack that the tournaments forum is in very dire need of something automated because the current method was not working, and now we've got the Tournaments tab up at the top there. This is why I originally stepped down from the tournament newsletter, and a few months later the whole tournaments system was automated.
Once all that happened, the newsletter got something of a revamp as well...all of the newsletters would merge and find one big Conquer Club Newsletter. The
Foundry Newsletter was not as well-kept as the Tournament Newsletter, it took me a bit just to find that one issue. Anywho, then we found
samuelc812 (my predecessor of the Entertainment Team Head, and everyone knows he stole Pirates of the Caribbean avatars from me) working on the biggest newsletter we've seen., that incorporated most of the major aspects of Conquer Club, and it's all neatly stored
here. Just before he left we hacked Andy's account, gave him a Kiera Knightley account and created the Easter map.
After quite some time, we lost Sam and found ourselves Victor Sullivan to take the new publishing head, under my lead as Entertainment Team Head and the newsletter lived on through the Head Executive and Departmental Executives that would eventually join TeamCC for their work on their respective areas in the newsletter. After Victor seemingly up and left, we were caught in a pickle with who would run the newsletter since there was no final word. With that,
thehippo8 and his executives would keep it running smoothly until I had to step down as the Entertainment Team Head, and as such the
Media Team was born under supervision from thehippo8 for a few months. Fast forward to present day,
Dukasaur is now heading the Media Team and the Newsletter and
sempaispellcheck is running the Entertainment Department that samuelc and I worked so hard to create.
