OK i will try some sort of clan ranking related to results from 2011.
I will add some,and hope that other clans will also participiate to give me results of clan chalenges in 2011(finished).

Formula for Clan Ranking points.
(loser's score / winner's score) *(number of games) +(win-loss game diference)=total score
separate calculation of two formula give total ranking score
Every clan start with same number of points 1000. You win and you lose rating points.

Im dont know what you talk abouth farming. im use results, im not use any kind of feel statistic, or percepcion view,or any other ranking system.
These is based only on results.

I could be wrong but I see some merit in keeping an overall clan performance thread.

I think it'd be nice to have:
Total wars
Wars won
Wars lost
Games won
Games lost
Total games
Win percentage
And if a quality win could be determined (maybe a win by less than 5 games would be determined to be a quality victory as the two clans could then be argued to be fairly competitive)

I dont think it would encourage farming for winning % but rather be a tool to make some the polls and standings easier to compile.

Taking the quality of a clan out of the equation is just plain stupid. Take the classic THOTA vs Monkis. No one can say that wasn't 2 of the best clans on the site when they played each other. THOTA won with 41-40 if I remember it correctly, but if let's say Grim Reapers would beat AKA 22-19 in a challenge, they would be placed above both clans. That's just not right, and you know it. You get high win percentage if you play unbalanced challenges. Where's the fun in that? I'd much rather play a close battle against the top ranked clan and lose by one game than win with 80% winrate against a brand new, unorganized clan.

Just to make sure: This is no stab at any of the clans on the list. This is a stab at the flawed ranking system.

qwert I really see no one trying to insult you. They are just questioning the need and actual purpose of this thread. Seems that time could be better spent doing other things or you could contact jpcloet and offer your assistance.

One suggestion:

Take the ranking numbers out and it become a record keeping tool. Clans are then free to make their own assumptions on who the best is.
There is already enough ranking crap out there. If it were just "recorded" alphabetically we could get over the argument.

ok,after long thinking,i think that i find best formula for calculating ranking points. These formula will prevent any kind of farming,because any Strong clan will not get big number of points if they win low ranked clan.
The formula for calculate ranking points are:
(loser's score / winner's score) *(number of games)
Clan score are average points.
Examples:
thota 2816 vs Kort 2709
tofy 2707 vs t4c 1622
For these example i take that chalenge whas 40 games.
Thota win points against Kort:
2709/2816*40=38 ranking points
Kort win points against thota:
2816/2709*40=42 ranking points

tofy win points against t4c:
1622/2707*40=23 ranking points
T4C win against TOFY:
2709/1622*40=67 ranking points

These formula can be use for all kind of clan chalenges.
I will use these formula and create new ranking list.

Really? And here I thought clans continually tried to win to increase their wins. Surely your clan tries to increase its wins? Well, by default, if you win more, your win% goes up.

Seriously, Bruce, I get what you're saying but... I doubt decent clans fight "lesser clans" just for easy pickings, and if the clan isn't decent, it's not likely to continue a winning streak to make this a concern, because better clans will overwhelm them. Eventually it will be noticeable if a clan is refusing battles with "reputable clans" in favor of "easy pickings" to increase win %.

Contrarily, just because a known clan agrees to a battle with an unknown clan, doesn't mean they're doing it because they think it will be an easy win. For example, as I recall, BSS, a fairly decent clan, will often give unknowns a chance at them... I doubt they're doing it simply because they think they'll swarm the opponents to increase their win%.
