First round of the 2nd Annual Conqueror's Cup!! - Agents of Chaos vs De Veroveraars der Lage Landen

[spoiler=Rules of engagement]- 41 total games
- 12 doubles
- 14 triples
- 14 quads
- Each clan member can only participate in 15 games per clan war
- Each clan will pick the map and settings for exactly half of the games
- The 41st game will be Quads on World 2.1, sunny, chained, no spoils
- Each map can only be used twice per clan per clan war but can only be used once per game type (i.e. once for triples and once for quads)
- There will be no freestyle, speed, manual deployments, beta maps, or nuclear spoils games allowed[/spoiler]

Another interesting match-up, but I've got a feeling AoC will show up strong here:

FYI, a quad will give only 1 point so. damm, even i go to only 17, and thats because I will play all the doubles and win them all... lol..
I am thinking 28-13 is a bit too high on the VDLL side considering they (I) dropped out of the top 20 clans...
Obvioulsy, should we manage to win then I fully expect AoC to quit in disgust and shame...
This would be a match that is considered to be inelligiable for e medal right?! LOL

Also, all the postes above.. you have been noted by me.. we WILL get you, and the we will split the bill... Dutch style.. later

Well, I'm not in any of those games, but I have it at 3-2-2 in favor of AOC presently.

You guys really flipped the board on the D-Day game. I had that chalked up as a win for us yesterday.

Thanks for the analysis, but that game is far from over yet. Especially because it's escalating, we'll have to see where it ends.

So far I'm enjoying this challenge. You guys are tough opponents, but we're trying to put up as good a fight we can. Have fun in the next round as well everyone.

D-Day? We've been chasing that one from the start so don't know how you set up that one as secured at all. The escalating spoils might swing things around if we can stay alive for that long though. Definetly not settled for sure yet.

I'll venture some predictions, but don't pin me down on these.

Castle lands looks all but secure for us.
Atlantis is far from over, but we seem to have the advantage there.
I can't see through the fog, but AoC seems to have some advantage in most of their foggy quads homegames.
AoC seems to have a strong advantage in the supermax game as well.

We seem to have an advantage in the rail europe game, allthough I can't see how strong it is through the fog.
Iberia is still pretty open, allthough we seem to have an advantage there as well.
The same seems to be true for North America and D-Day.
AoC has a very strong advantage on Extreme Global Warming, and seems to have some advantage on Waterloo.
World 2.1 will almost certainly go to AoC.

On finished games, it's 5-2 for AOC (Jamaica finished).
Games that look settled are 1-1,
Games with a strong advantage are 2-0 in favour of AoC,
and it seems to be 5-5 on games were one of the teams holds an advantage.

Feel free to disagree with my analysis though.

I've learned not to take anything for granted, especially in the fog.

At the moment, I would be happy to take a 1 or 3 game lead into the 2nd half. VDLL are a tougher outfit than some give them credit for.

i'm afraid the score of the first batch will be around 13-8 for AoC, give or take a game. you guys are a though challenge!

lets hope the second batch will be more in our favor!
