World Cities Contest: London [D]

Post by Bruceswar »

So Keygin was first to post his London draft, which is fairly complex. I will post mine now which is more simple. Besides CC needs more simple smaller maps?

Stats:
33 Territories
6 Bonus
City Starts with a 2 Neutral. It needed I can show it as such.

Kensington and Hammersmith will be dealt with in the graphics portion. This goes for any other territories with possible number issues.

P.S. Shout out to Mr Benn with a similar color scheme from the England map.

Nice draft! Its a little open though... a few choke points would help imo.

Maybe change some borders so the bonus regions are more defensible.

Are there any tributaries to the thames that would work?

None to be spoken of. As soon as I changed the borders, people from England would be up in arms about how it is not correct!

The old walls of London could be used to add a chokepoint, although they don't exactly fit along your lines.

Sorry, I didn't look close enough at your map the first time. The London Wall map would only work to seperate the territory named city from itself.

Yeah I looked at that also... I cannot wait to see what you come up with! I am thinking I am going to go with some random made up walls. That will at least choke it some and make it playable...

Do the bonus values look ok?

They are fine for what they are set as. I personally prefer maps to have at least one bonus of 2 and no bonuses of 1. This setup is not unprecedented though. Perhaps splitting the city into 2 and having it as a 1 bonus would be better

This could work with a bonus-scheme similar to that used on the England map... I would have liked some more time to experiment with variations :P
