Disclaimer: Bugs may be encountered as this is a completely new game type. Play at your own risk. Although bugs will likely be worked out by the time it starts, there is still a possibility.
What is Trench Warfare, you ask? Well, it's the same thing as Adjacent Attacks.
I have no idea what to expect as far as signups, so for now I'm going to leave it at an indefinite amount. What will be told, though, is this:
4-5 player games throughout the tournament. Each round (save for the final) will be a 3 games series will be played on these settings: Random Map Standard Sequential Escalating Unlimited (1v1 tiebreakers will be chained) Sunny 30 Round Limit
Points will be awarded as follows: 1st place; 8, 2nd place; 5, 3rd place; 4, 4th place; 3, 5th place; 2. Points are not cumulative between rounds. In the event that games are ended by round limits, points will be awarded by rankings of most troops (As CC does to determine the game's winner).
The top 2 of each group will advance to the next round. The final round will be series of 5 games.
The winner will be awarded a General Achievement Medal and 6 months of premium, courtesy of the entertainment team.
Round 1: 20 groups of 5. Top 2 of each group advance to round 2. Round 2: 8 groups of 5. Top 2 of each group advance to round 3. Round 3: 4 groups of 4. Top 1 of each group advance to the finals. Finals: 1 group of 4. Winner take all.
Count me in. This is amazing. I should note however, that this is the third trench warfare tournament, only the 1st to use it as an option as opposed to an honour system.
