Sounds good to me- Thought this was implemented already when the poly update first came out. I got really excited, only to have my hopes and dreams crushed...

I personally do not like this. It'll deviate too much from true team games. The current setting allows us to try different strategies in conventional team games.

With that said, if it does exist in the future it doesn't mean I have to play it.
taking a break from cc, will be back sometime in the future.

Oh, you'll play it and you'll like it!

Seriously, I don't see how this would deviate far from true team games. This would be more team like than 1v1 polymorphic games, IMO. It would allow you to test out quads strategy with just two people to start with until you could actually find a third and fourth teammate who would be able to compliment. I see this as an addition to team strategy building and probably pretty fun.

Oh, you were talking something similar to 3 team doubles? Polymorphic with 3 people?

just have an end assault/reinforcement phase next to each player and you can have 2 different things, one for each color

wouldn't that be a huge advantage if you could have all four of your players play before one of theirs? Sure you can do that with team freestyle today but it takes a lot more coordination to make happen.

+1

I endorse this suggestion. Also it would be a better solution to this suggestion here: Change Polymorphic medal requirements

More options please!

Was this under consideration ehen poly was created?
Or is it hard to do it like the 5vs 5 or 6vs6?

I have no idea, I'll ask around for you. However, I don't see much serious argument against this other than possible technical limitations, but I'll give some objections time to come up. In the meantime, I think it needs to be decided whether or not to make polymorphic team games since that has been discussed. I'm not totally sure on the effects of that though, or if it is even remotely possible.

Yes, understood. I was just wondering if poly teams was part of or an extension of this idea that got randomly mentioned. Sorry for being unclear.

I love the idea of poly team games. I also like the idea of 3, 4, etc players in a poly singles game. So count me in as a supporter.

I even like the idea of poly vs singles. Slaying two victims with a bloody sword in each hand. Or better yet, just allow people to hold more than one place in team games (on the same team of course). After all, we don't want to encourage skitsofrantic masochism.

Or do we? Imagine a Battle Royal where every day 52 guys log on and wonder how all those other guys got that same login name. Or the letter to the moderators when he gets into a heated argument with one of them and discovers he can't be foe'd, and apparently that guy has been reading my PM's. LOL (Gees, I just ain't right am I) LOL

But seriously (I'll do my best), filling more than one slot in team games sounds cool to me.

poly team games

Postby betiko on Mon Jan 27, 2014 4:11 am

I think something similar might have been proposed, can't remember...

But I would like to play for example with a partner and 2 slots each, or 2 partners and 2 slots each.... or the infinite combinations poly+team could offer now that games have up to 12 slots.
Maybe doubles poly 2 is the only one easy to do right now, otherwise i guess the 5v5 and 6v6 games would already exist.
