from the mapmaker....

most of the play is simply like classic, just different attack lines and icons instead of land areas....not difficult really.

planes at start can be helpful....get an AA battery to shoot them down and turn them neutral

couple of one-way attacks around the oil terts and navy base and onto/from forde island

easy really. good luck.

best policy....get in there and play and find out what things do! worst you can do....lose a few points on a game

best you can do is gain a heap of points if you win.

I just finished PH and thought the map was pretty cool. I learned that holding Ford Island will benefit you. If you can maintain FI...load up on Control Tower which is a one-way threat to the Battleships, just fortify and leave a few guys there till it's time to move 'em out. Then start at the top (Destroyers & Zeroes) and work your way down.

If you see yourself all over the place, try to get & hold planes as they dole out some easy bonuses each round,ad are limited to who can attack them.

Most of all, pay ATTENTION when advancing and fortifying. There are more than a few one-way directions...you can cut a turn short or ruin your next turn by advancing to or fortifying the wrong position.

Good Luck and Enjoy

To the map maker.

No problem on the feedback; I thought PH was a lot of fun. The rules and bonuses are not complicated so disregard any neg feedback about that. A few of us seemed to have control at different times, but things seemed to change quickly and dramatically many times, no one however appeared to ever be out of it. It was a nice break from the standard maps, you really had to watch who could come from where and where you could go. A few times I advanced, deployed or fortified poorly, resulting in limited options my next turn. So yes, you really need to watch what you are doing, which is a good thing. By no means am I an expert or an ace in the hole, in fact I am new to CC, but for what it's worth I enjoy the game and am sincere about my comments.

Great work. See ya around town.

Tweedy, thanks. :)
If you enjoyed this map, keep watch for Battle of Gazala, and have you tried Waterloo yet. It's a ripper! Even Prohibition Chicago is turning heads.

Learn the bonus's.

2 planes of the same style get you plus 3 armies, 3 sets of planes available.

Pay attention to the AA's and where they can attack.

Your first 3 turns will determine the game 90% of the time in 1 vs 1, more players change things as does fog of war

I just finished a 1v1 game and I fail to see how the player going first possibly could loose (other than with a incredibly poor drop ofc). So many small (in number of territs needed to gain it) bonuses and so many possibilities to strike at your opponent so I just don't see it.

For the multiplayer game with FoW that I play now on the other hand it will be really interesting though. Airplane pairs got to be a good place to start right?
And then, the tenders? The cruisers? The oil storage? Or is the island something to go for? Is it worth going for more planes? Seems to be quite a small reward for more than pairs.

The planes and the AA guns. If you lose control of the AA guns and the other team/player has any armies more than 1 in/near the planes they control, kiss goodbye to ever challenging that spot. One bonus and they can put 3 armies on each plane. Imagine Australia in Classic. Then multiply that by planes.
