Nothing for this script shows up on my Game Finder page. I DO have Games Filter installed and updated. Thoughts?

No Map Rank buttons or text fields at all?

Have you got any errors in the error console?

Fixed in 1.0.7 - I couldn't see this problem as the site change only broke this for those with certain defeats.

You can see Map Rank back in Game Finder now.

I think that it is fantastic, w/ one exception. That is, The "point hoarder" designation should be re-thought. I played a certain map once and lost. But because my opponent was a low rank, It designated me a hoarder. I have two maps with this problem. Maybe if you only calculate a map if it has 4, or 5, or more, games ? otherwise just put N/A. Sorry if I missed this from previous posts. As most of it was too technical for me to follow.

For some reason map rank does not work for me anymore . It used to work a few weeks ago as a separate pop-up window but now it shows as a new tab that says (untitled) and nothing happens. Have I maybe done something to mess this up. I have uninstalled both map rank and BOB and still no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, please, if you have time, give this thread a bump, so that we can keep this info on the front burner for all to see..

My husband and I had this issue when we first tried map rank. For us, it had something to do with firefox not allowing pop-ups in new windows. We were using Tab Mix Plus and had to change a setting there to Allow all Pop ups.

I believe that I read somewhere that you need to un-install the old version first.

Thanks very much for reporting this, this is greatly appreciated.

For those of you who run Map Rank and see a new blank tab called "Untitled" and nothing else happening and also have the extension
Tab Mix Plus, you will have to change a setting:

Go to the Firefox Menu and go to Tools->Tab Mix Plus Options

Image

Now Change the setting for Javascript Popups to Allow resized popups or Allow all popups:

Then Click Apply, close the options window and run Map Rank again.

Thanks again for the info.

I'm having issues with map rank.
I installed it before I updated to 1.0.7, it was fine.
I can't remember whether the start of my issues was before I updated to 1.0.7 or not, but now most of the left hand column has disappeared off the left and I can't see the map name...

This is a great tool! Thank you.
Is there any way to include some game settings for this program, such as; singles, dubs, trips; fortification settings; and spoils settings?

You can do that by going to the Gamefinder page, selecting the settings you want, and pressing the "Map rank" button. It's below the standard "Search" button.

Ya know what would be awesome ?

- A top 100 score board of only the players that maintain an EQ.
Did you know that only 2 players in the top 20 do.

Seulessliathan

Fruitcake

It could be On the MAP RANK page.
I would be very interested to learn just how far down the CC leaderboard this list will take us.

I don't fully agree with these designations. There are people at CC that I enjoy playing with. In fact that's why I came here and bought a membership - to play with my loved ones. It used to be fun, as long as I was a low rank.

Now if I start a public game and lower ranked players choose to join, I'm called a point hoarder. What the heck happened? We did exactly the same thing when we started as lowly question marks, and that was perfectly okay. It is apparent that once a player gets mid way up in ranking they are forced to only play private games against the same rank (or higher). The alternative is to be labeled a "farmer".

That is the very reason I've lost my desire to play. For some time now, this has been my only means of R&R, because when I'm not at the office I'm home-bound caring for my dying father. Now I no longer enjoy playing, because of those who choose to spend their time judging other players.

Sorry fixed 2 scripts at the same time...

1.0.8 is available with all necessary fixes (also to medal summary links).

You can see your unique defeats in blue in the select box, not much choice over this.

Hey chip. Nice work keeping the scripts running with the new updates. I just noticed that when I maprank myself on the sidebar, the number of games is not correct. It seems that the games played on the old Classic Map are listed under both Classic and Classic: Shapes. I have not played and games on Centerscape or its predecessor, so I am not sure if it does the same thing for that map as well. The only reason I noticed is because I have more wins and a higher win % on the sidebar maprank than I do on my profile.
