I thought personal info should be applicable to CC members!

If you are suggesting that posting someone else's facebook page, who is not a member of CC, is not posting personal information about someone, I'm glad you brought that up!

On that page were pictures of InsomniaRed, posts made about Insom and, in fact, posts made BY Insom. In fact, look at owen's quote - the link was added in support of a post about Insom, along with directions on how to discover specific information about her on the linked-to page. Clearly, the link was a Personal Information violation.

Just because it was not InsomniaRed's personal page, doesn't mean it didn't contain personal information about her.

but Insom herself did post her real name which enable you to make search and find her profile?

That page was/is full of personal information on InsomniaRed. And don't forget, just because someone posted some information about themselves on this site, it DOES NOT give anyone else the right to post further personal information on them. This is, very clearly, an open-and-shut case.

She banned people from live chat for disputing her lies about being ill. Team CC let that happen. Therefore, they made her personal life canon, and when that canon was found to be quite, quite inaccurate, people naturally wanted the truth to be known.

I'm a Bandit but probably Owen's least favorite. I'm not a big fan of the forums because so many posts I read make me queasy. The Bandits forum I have found to be remarkable due to the humor and intelligence exhibited there. Certainly not my posts but the other members posts I refer to. That for the most part is all I spend my time on looking at the forums with the one exception being a suggestion I made that made everybody go nuts. I mention that because I wouldn't post in the manner that Owen does but I respect his right to do so. I can see how some people find some of Owen's posts annoying but I look out there and I find so many more posters vastly more annoying it's not even funny. Owen was bragging or "representing" as you young people like to say about his contest. He was mildly making fun of others efforts to do the same. I understand how many of you will assume I am biased in my opinion but the truth is I'm really just barely biased. Owen getting this ban was not an impartial judgement. This was personal. People who didn't like him and had the power to do so used it. They used their little rule book which apparently changes quite often and sent him to the Gulag. They did not use reason. Before I punch somebody in the face or put a screwdriver in their knee I let them know they are starting to piss me off and ask them to quit it. I think that's reasonable. I just don't do it and then write a long explanation of why I did it. That is what happened regardless of past so called "offenses". If people were getting pissed why not just pm or call him out in the forums first? That wasn't done because somebody could use their power and get off on it.

I recently discovered that I like to run tournaments. If someone posts in my thread saying my tournament sucks, best believe I'm going to reply saying why my tournament is awesome. If they persist, I will persist, and escalate the level of rhetoric if necessary.

If you don't mind having your tournament threads trolled, that's fine. Most people would mind. And most people, if they didn't like your tournament, would have the common courtesy to say so once and then move on, not hang around flogging a dead horse.

I think that's reasonable. I just don't do it and then write a long explanation of why I did it. That is what happened regardless of past so called "offenses". If people were getting pissed why not just pm or call him out in the forums first? That wasn't done because somebody could use their power and get off on it.

But from what I understand it's been done before, many many times. There have been official discussions, unofficial discussions, and off-orbit completely in dead space discussions, owens seemingly never got it, and has always continued pushing every boundary he can think off. Someone mentioned earlier, that it was said team cc spends more time on him than anything else, and if thats the case then something needed to be done, and this incident was deemed worthy enough to do it?

one statement in the contest thread, followed by 2 responses and a "good luck" to team CC on the way out of the thread. 2 posts in OUR contest thread, followed by a response to a member. those 6 posts were in 16 hours. please explain to me how that is excessive.
