I LOVE the dice!

Postby oldrisky44 on Tue Nov 23, 2010 7:11 am

Nearly every page in nearly every forum that I have read has a complaint about the dice. I just want to say that I for one love the dice. I am the guy that is winning on EVERY roll, winning attacks with my 3 against your 15, and winning games for no other reason than because of good dice. There I said it.

Seriously, though, from what I have seen, the dice are random. I win some tough ones and lose some disappointing ones.

This should be fun...

My favorite part about the dice topics---either the love 'em or hate 'em---is that you can always substitute most any noun for dice, and it can become a poignant discussion about politics, or an absurd discussion about ottoman foot-stools. It's human nature, I think---the love and hate. Luckily I'm a monkey (though admittedly, I am a banana loving, crocodile hating monkey).

It's a bit like referees in sports - if you lose they're a ready-made excuse.

Personally I have no problem with the dice - sure it's frustrating when you're on a bad run, but you can get exactly the same thing rolling a real dice at home.

I am ambiguous towards monkeys, although i do love polar bears

I prefer mountain gorillas to monkeys in general and intensity cubes to dice.

Fixed.

Also, thanks for starting something positive about the dice. It's quite a nice change of pace, this thread.

I haven't been using my intensity SQUARES much lately, so I don't have much to say about that. However, when I was, they seemed ok to me. I think a lot of the hate is surfacing from the time the old system was replaced not because more problems have arisen with the the new system, but the fact that the people losing the dice now have something to blame. In short, all of the streaks could have been there before, but with the change available as a finger target, all carpal battalions finger to pinky are pointed straight at the once before unidentifiable intensity SQUARE fiend.

I like that. But what does it have to do with gorillas?
