Would anyone like to adopt a kitten?

TOFU will sponsor it. It's cute, cuddly and lovely and goes by the name of 'Caught'

Game 10895411

A noob who joined and last visited on Feb. 17, 2009. And who never played a single game. Nice way to guarantee that it's not a full "team" that you'll be playing against. That's very low.

[player]Cha[/player] is the invited player, when I checked.

It'd be nice if you could show more than what could very well just be an isolated incident

Hmm, it could be countered by some people working together, by joining and reserving 2 places for your teammates, and wait until the reservation runs out.

But I get your point, it's not very honorable.

I suppose it could be possible that Team 1 isn't responsible. It is possible that someone saw Team 1 reserve a spot, join Team 2, reserve a noob to Team 2, then drop the game themselves. Does dropping the game cancel an invitation? And is there any way to track who invites players to a game?

Though, I have to doubt anyone is doing that, because I'm sure Team 1 would be quick to complain if they saw that going on.

Yeah, and what would be the motive to do so? None really. Plus I think if someone joined Team 2 and invited [player]Cha[/player] then Cha would appear as Player #6 (so it would take 2 people to join, then send the invite, then both drop. Pretty unlikely).

I have to agree with the OP. An unproven invite shenanigan (because you don't know who actually sent the invite) is almost as cheap as someone placing a weight on the B key to make sure the get their full drop in a freestyle game.

I'll be checking this with Monkey to understand what is going on, but I think it is a shame that your self-righteousness can't see the cheapness going on in your own backyard. ( viewtopic.php?p=3645574#p3645574 ) :(

Can someone explain why you would want to play uncompetitive games? Den is the highest ranked player and he is 2000 points short of conquerer.. so whats the point?

Ah I see. Are you suggesting I should move this to C&A (if you wish to draw parallels)?

p.s. You may have to wait to check with drunkmonkey as it looks like you're sitting his account

I thought my former post had been pretty straight-forward, but in case it wasn't I'm suggesting you should quit being hypocritical.

Unless you want to lecture us into how the weight on the B key is a perfectly legit move?

Anyway, I talked to Monkey and he did not invite Cha.

I logged into his account hoping that it would show who invited Cha, but the system does not work that way.

I can't believe I'm even responding to this bullshit.

No one on our team invited Cha. Cha signed up in 2009, and has never played a game, so I doubt he'd join anyway. Most likely, a couple other players joined, then made a typo to invite Cha (maybe they were trying to type "Chariot of Fire...who knows?). Upon realizing their mistake, they dropped the game. It's impossible to invite someone to the 7th slot without 5 and 6 being filled first.

I guess assuming the worst and posting a GD thread calling us dishonorable for it was the best course of action. That was the "honorable" thing to do, right?

For all I know, someone joined the game, invited a new recruit, and then dropped the game, all so he could start up another mudslinging thread. Hell, you noticed it before I did - are you just constantly scanning my games, or was it a happy coincidence?

A possible motive would be someone who's pissed at the poor sportsmanship displayed by Team 1, and attempting to get back at them by inviting a player who won't accept. That game will not fill until the 24 hours necessary for the invite to expire have passed. Or as is suggested later, a team did join, mistyped an invite, then dropped the game.

The big problem in this situation is that us regular users cannot see who invited a particular player. Is there a way for mods to know?

Just a coincidence. And hey....apologies if, as you say, no-one from Team 1 invited this person. Just seems bizarre that they are in that #7 slot, meaning 2 people must have been in #5 & #6.

Perhaps it was someone's idea of a joke.

No worries. I realize it's a lot easier to scream "KORT USES CHEAP TACTICS" first, and bury an apology on page 2 later.

Not to mention ignoring comments regarding him condoning a clanmate's cheap tactics after being called out on it.

also, Rodion, you are accusing Dako out of all ppl to be cheater and suggesting to CoF to check his own backyard while in same time one and (l)only GLG sitting all so nicely in your bedroom? rly? :D
and CoF, this is lame, and you know it. and giving all the bad blood between you guys, its not even funny...

i know this site had some revelries, but this here, presented by both clan, this is pure hate... over internet game. :lol;

now, back to more interesting things... cant wait to see Denise and catnipdreams vs loes and Foxglove. chick fight, chick fight! give me some jelly!

Sorry Rodion, but your remarks didn't even merit a reply. For starters I am not Dako (so I fail to see the hypocrisy when I draw attention to possible invite abuse) and secondly there is no comparison to a case (Dako's) where nothing was proven and there was no evidence, as opposed to a waiting game which clearly has a noob invited to the opposing team.

So what's your point? Or are you merely trying to deflect from the subject?

p.s. logging into another player's account without good cause or whilst they are capable of logging-in themselves is in breach of the rules.

I feel like I need to write a script to monitor how often your clan mates fly a Hong Kong flag. If your present sitting practices resemble the past, I'll have pages and pages of data.

I did not say Dako is a cheater. I said he used a cheap tactic. I also said CoF knew that and still condoned his actions, which kind of contradicts this post: viewtopic.php?p=3673940#p3673940 .

I also don't think I've ever defended GLG, but even if I did it would not look this bad as I don't constantly play the moral high ground card while the OP here does.

The hypocrisy lies in defending a cheap tactic in a C&A thread when you have several forum posts stating you don't condone anything that is cheap at all. I guess you could have said "while what Dako did was cheap, he did not break any rules", but that would make you look like a certain person you constantly bash, wouldn't it? ;)

I'm not deflecting from the subject and I want to get to the bottom of this. I want to know who invited "Cha" (I already know Monkey didn't) and I'll ask KA to verify it if necessary.

You can feel free to file a C&A against me if you feel I broke a rule.

Rodion

P.S. "P.S." is used like this, after a signature.
