<NS EDIT>This thread is going to get a sticky. ONLY use this thread for the posting of the dice analyzer and e_i_pi's other thread for the discussion. Please keep both threads free of dice flames/complaints. Those posts belong in the Dice Venting Thread. If the topics get derailed, people may receive warning and this thread may lose its sticky.
I encourage everybody to use these threads in other discussions about the dice. Enjoy the triple 6's.</NS EDIT>
Rules of posting in this thread
- One post per user, to be edited by that user when updating their personal stats
- Do not discuss the results in this thread, discuss the results here
- No falsified stats, no unnecessary stats, no undocumented stats, no records of individual battles
- Stats must be recorded from the Dice Analyser (Firefox) plugin, available here
- Definitely no flaming or complaints
Purpose of this thread
The purpose of this thread is to record the dice statistics submitted by users on this thread, in an attempt to mathematically determine whether or not the dice adhere to normal distribution. Random samples with equal distribution should distribute normally. The statistics will be compiled to totals which will be presented in the following post. The information to be presented will include:
- The grand totals of all submitted statistics
- The top 5 of each instance of attacking dice and defending dice by user, sorted by Absolute Standard Deviation
- The true normalised expectation
- The Standard Deviation of the grand total results
Submitting your personal statistics
Please submit statistics in the following format and order:
- The date for which you are submitting your statistics
- Total number of attacking dice and defending dice, broken down into actual numbers rolled (you should select / copy / paste from Dice Analyser)
- You may submit Battle Outcomes, Battle Percentages, and Overall Stats, but they will not be implemented initially
- You may, after presenting this information, add a small blurb if you wish, but refrain from including provocative or inciting material (ie - flames + complaints)
An example is given below:
