Missing Turns

Postby Peglionitus on Fri Oct 31, 2008 7:52 am

What is the rule on missing turns and deadbeating? I am in a 4-player game in which one player has missed 3 turns and another has missed 4, but they are both still in the game. I thought that after your 3rd missed turn you were automatically out?

I think that only counts if the turns missed are in a row, but I'm not 100% sure.

So would you say it's a legitimate tactic to miss every second turn, and use it to get deferred armies?

Personally, I would consider that cheating.

yes it is a valid (albe it annoying...) tactic, but 99% of the time, it brings poor results

Thanks for clarifying.

Yes, it is a really annoying habit, but I am grateful for the rule change to award deferred armies at the end of the turn. That really nullifies the advantage of that particular...er...tactic.

i just clarified the rule, doesn't mean i agree with it. however, i wouldn't call it cheating, because it isn't against the rules. however, i would call it a cheap tactic. but when someone misses in my games, i attack them to break bonuses and limit armies.-0
