Ahoy Folks,
So while perusing the General Dicussion, I noticed the "Favorite 3 Maps" topic had slipped down towards the bottom---and since some discussion I wanted to generate doesn't quite fit in that topic here's a new one!
So, in the above posted topic, it was simply a list of some favorite 3 maps---but what I think is more interesting than just seeing what maps are favored by people---is why maps remain a favorite.
So...why? Why do your top 3 favorite maps remain as your favorites?
For me, they aren't necessarily my top 3 all time, but I'll use them anyways:
Space -- This was one of the first maps I was involved with as Foundry Foreman, and I remember its creation so I've got some fond memories of it. I also just generally enjoyed the theme, and I've enjoyed the game play---shared territories and warp/worm holes made for some interesting games.
Canada -- This is an old map I remember, though I wasn't involved with it's production like Space. But I enjoyed that it was similar to Classic, but different enough to provide some change in game play. The old Canada map, if you rememeber, was pretty horrendous, but I'm glad the REVAMP came along and did it some justice.
Caribbean Islands -- Just a small, simple, quick map. Clean graphics, colorful---I enjoy some random 1vs1's on it from time to time.
So...yours?
