You should try The Power of Five. I don;t know if you would like Artemis Fowl. And there is one of the only sci-fi's I have read and liked...Ender's game. And I read Enders Game... I'm not a big fan of Sci-Fi, though... I like Horror and Fantasy... Give me a sword and an orc anyday over some blaster pistol and spaceships...
