A KO should help Hearns move up the rankings to some bigger payouts :D

The schedule was made before the season began...you will fight each fighter inside your division once, and you will have four crossover bouts against the other division. Those bouts were selected at random.

Yes, I got your win...the standings will be updated Thursday sometime...three bouts are already in...I still can't believe we have only one decision and are almost through week 3...I didn't anticipate so many knockouts...

The schedule was randomly made before the season began...the purse for each bout is determined by where boxers rank when they match up...For example #1 USA vs. #3 USA would make a larger purse than a bout between #5 USA and #9 USA.

Seemingly not.

With the huge discrepancy in purses, and the fact that the more expensive bouts are for more rounds (virtually assuring a knockout), it seems like it's gonna' be awfully difficult for boxers who got out of the gate slowly to be able to catch up.

I love this tournament structure and it's a very creative idea, but based on what little I've seen so far I think maybe it needs to be tweaked if we ever choose to do this a second time. I think the length of the match should be fixed across all bouts and the discrepancy in purses needs to be narrowed.

Just one man's opinion and maybe it's still too early, but I really do like the concept behind this tournament and would love to see it work out well. Thanks again flexmaster.

Hearns beats Marquez in round 6 of the second match, after losing the first game in 8 rounds - is that a knockout?

How could Benn?lang in week 4 command a higher purse than hearns/Marquez? Hearns/Marquez fight featured better records and higher collective winnings coming into the week.

Same could be said for the Foreman fight as well. I'd be curious what kind of formula is being used to determine purse sizes.

The formula factors in where boxers are ranked within their own division "United States" or "International"

Benn and Lang were 4th and 5th in the International
Hearns and Marquez were 5th and 6th in the U.S. division...although they did have better records...their division ranking was lower.
