Rejoice, my friends, for it is entirely possible that the final game shall be finished within the next few days... of course, it's also possible that it will devolve into another protracted stalemate.

But at least shit's happening. :D

Yep, 390648 is a turn away from hitting the record books. dbz, despite his partner bailing, managed to beat off the rest of us all by himself.

Groups of Season 2 were updated on page 1.

Tomorrow, I will be traveling back home after a 3-week holiday. I will either open Season 2 matches tonight (if I have time) or on Sunday.

And also congrats to divided & pluto, who managed to proceed to the next season winning their last match (and believe me that was a though one).

All matches of Season 2 are open now!

Passwords have same system like in Season 1. Let's see who still remembers it.

Christ, we're really going to play on age of merchants? I can't recall one person other than teylen expressing support for that map.

upps, I forgot your discussion with Teylen about that map.

Anyway, you both were the only ones who posted their ideas about that map. I don't see another one who expressed his opinion here, so neither support nor disapproval of others is there.

I just really really dislike the map. If other had been asking for it, I'd understand. But since it was just the one guy casually mentioning that it might be a good map to play, I don't think that's enough to warrant AoM's inclusion...

Welcome to Season 2 of our TOP 500 Doubles League. Please check the tournament forum regularly. All necessary information will be updated in my first five posts on page 1.

We have 24 players in total in this season. In order to reduce the pm work for me, please follow following steps to enter your matches:

1) Find your team number in my post #3 (final list) on the first page of our forum.
2) Find your Group in my post #4 (standings table).
3) Look at the fixture of Season 2 (post #4) and find out, if you play Match 1 or Match 2 in your Group. The numbers you see there, are team numbers.
4) Look at the Season 2 Match # list and find out your game number in the respective week. You play only one match per week, in total 10 matches in Season 2.
5) Use Game Finder to find respective game and make sure to enter it in correct order as a team. Which team enters first, second or third, is not important, just don't get teams mixed.
6) Enter match with your password. Your password will be .... Use the same method for the whole League.

I know that it looks complicated, however it's very easy in fact, if you once understand the logic behind it. It's a very hard work to organize such a League. You can help me to save a lot of time, if you spend a little time to follow above mentioned steps. If you have problems, you can pm me anytime.

Good luck and have fun,
Brigadier Selin

A third reserve player for the Top 500 dubs league

Subject: A third reserve player for the Top 500 dubs league
Hi Selin,

In case you wonder what tournament I am writting about...I completed the header.

Thanks for the tournament and I am enjoying the format throughout.

Overtime, we find that players are hard pressed due to their work schedules etc making them take turns very late or even miss turns which ordinarily they don't. Of course their partners try to cover but even partners can be busy too.

To alleviate this problem, why don't you allow teams to have the option to appoint a reserve player who can join in a game or two when one of the partner are busy? If some teams don't wish to, it is alright as this is an option and should not be forced on them.

For this reserve player, I suggest that this reserve player must stay in the top500 before he joins any game to maintain high standards.
What do you think?

RW

You can use a reserve player, if you are not able to join a match due to any reason. Prerequisite is that the reserve player is a member of TOP 500 at the time you nominate him. I will allow only one reserve player, the other player has to be an original member of the team.

Anyone against this?

.

Our team reserve player is MOBAJOBG. GL guys for season 2! :)

Pluto hasn't been around since May. He told me he was taking a break from CC for a bit. I'll PM him and see if he's going to partner with me on this.

Otherwise, I may have to locate another partner. What's your feeling on this, Selin ?

Thanks,
dbz

All players,

Please join only in matches officially announced in my post on page 1!

Mistakenly I opened Week 5 matches as Middle East instead of Middle Earth. Although I had posted the correct game numbers on page 1, some players joined in wrong matches. Also match 10b1 exists twice. The correct match number can be founded on page 1.

3 questions here:
1. Haven't you said that you are going to start all the games at once:
Selin wrote:...
I will open all matches at the same time, so that you can start all of them simultaneously.

.

2. Why did you create all 40 games, cause they will disappear pretty soon (2 or 4 weeks until unjoined games are deleted by the system)?
3. What about my suggestion to play no cards game first then? Are we going to be waiting for another arctic no cards game to finish for months?:
AndrewB wrote:I have another suggestion for the next round.

I think if we play the no cards games in the beginning of the round, it would speed up the overall game process.

I haven't heard from Pluto yet. I'll give him until tomorrow to respond, but I honestly don't think he will since he sent me a "signing off" message, but I owe him the benefit of the doubt.

If he doesn't show, I would be honored to partner with you, Selin.

Uhm...

there are two kinds of Match 5 for round 2?

first middle-earth:
632843, 632842, 632840, 632838

and then middle-east?:
632769, 632766, 632762, 632757

and there are also 5 games for match 10 where only 4 should be.
two have the same name:
632827 and 632825
both are "TOP 500 Doubles League - Season 2 Match 10B1"

1) All matches are open. You should join in all of them and start playing simultaneously. What I meant with the above statement was that you should play one match per League week (not mistakenly enter two matches). Sorry for my English, it was not clear enough what is meant.

2) see answer 1. So join in all of them!

3) see answer 1.
