That's because Valentines Day is (somehow) even more ludicrous that most normal event days.

Show someone you love them by buying them crap? f*ck off - I don't wan't to be told when and how i show my love and appreciation to my special girl.

Well, obviously we get a lot of ads for buying stuff on Valentine's, because a lot of people do just that; but I don't think that's really the point of the holiday.
