Truth.

When asked whether she and her husband had any more unusual names up their sleeves, the politician said: ‘We did. We never got to get our Zamboni in. I always wanted a son named Zamboni.’

Her husband Todd, however, seemed less than impressed with the suggestion. ‘I don't think that would have flied,’ he said.

Looks like Todd Palin has the common sense in the relationship.

This has yet to be the most intersting thread yet... especially the one that refers to her wanting to name her son zamboni.. You all must voting for barrack obama (BO) , support gay marriage and abortion at any stage of development.. What i find to be funny is that you all can make fun of what a white woman may name her child ..and yet it is the the blacks that come up with the most rediculous names..

No one is making fun of her. How could you make fun of someone that thinks god told her to be governor and now vice-president? How could you make fun of someone that thinks people that live in large cities are anti-American? How could you make fun of someone that used her office to persecute a police officer because she didn't like him? How could you make fun of someone that can't complete full sentences when trying to think up what lie to tell a reporter? How could you make fun of someone that thinks McCain is going to win the election?

uhmmmm - maybe your right -- let's make fun of her

Agreed one hundred percent. I've been comparing Palin to Geraldine Ferraro an awful lot in the last several weeks. But that's mostly as the last example in history of a surprise VP pick that swelled the polls in favor of the candidate, but that ended up hurting him down the line. (Reagan still cleaned up against Mondale) The fact that both are women are, in my mind, ancillary to the idea of the "surprise" nominee. Well, Palin surprised everyone alright. It's just too bad (for the GOP, aka the Galactic Empire) the "first impression" wasn't made like, 3 days before the election. The plan backfires by actually giving us some time, although not much, to vet her as a public through the media. Well, let's just say that in this case, my first impression of "what the hell?" hasn't changed in the slightest.

that's likely because of your apparent liberal bias. No one really knew who she was, and her first impression was motivating to MANY. your bias was probably like most, that the Republican party was simply using Palin to steal female democratic voters that were miffed about Hillary. I didn't see that as viable, though many did.

I think, however, that Palin is a poor choice for VP candidate. I don't think that she is qualified to assume the reigns if McCain dies. Regardless of the outcome of the next election, were fucked anyway, so I really don't think it matters who our VP is.

I think that most "Americans" are anti American. Most want something for nothing, as is obvious with the escalating desire for socialized health care. The vast majority are "okay" with the fiat monetary system and bigger government. Most Americans are too ignorant to even know what it means to be American. Once Obama is elected, and the Democrats own all of the legislative mechanisms, America will be no more. BO (p.u.) will have opportunity to appoint a large number of Supreme Court Justices and the nation will be lost, and many will rejoice. This is the BO change that everyone is so excited about? Both Parties are strengthened by lies and deception.

i will admit the judges thing is a big deal. Getting to appoint mulitple numbers potentially is a pretty big thing, you would hope anyone with such a responsiblity would make a point not to alter the balance of the court very much.

Perhaps the Republican party shouldn't have nominated, and then elected twice, a complete idiot for President. If they had elected a man with a brain instead of a card carrying member of the "Lucky Sperm Club", we probably wouldn't be having this conversation as things would be much different and the American People wouldn't be so desperate for a change.

Republicans brought this upon themselves with eight years of poor decisions.

i would rather have Palin as a VP than an idiot like Biden any day of the week. in 4 yrs if she runs for President she would have my support.

if we still have a country after Nobama makes it a socialist/communist country and kills our country.

Nobama is the new Jimmy Carter and, Biden is the new Dan Quayle

soo sad.

Well, I DO know that Israel isn't a "Jewish Agency".

While I agree she has motivated a lot of people, is a small-town mom & pretty, I don't want her wacky ways involved in my country. Honestly, you would have no problem letting this person RUN THE COUNTRY?! Even some die hard Republicans I know wouldn't go that far!

I refer to this chart of her foreign experience:

I agree with backglass quite a bit here. I see palin as someone who has been rushed onto the biggest stage, and has been unable at times to show some refinement, which in a few cases could have been done simply by declaring that she wasnt as informed instead of making some shooting by the hip statements that hurt her.

I see this as endemic of perhaps a bigger issue. If mccain should be elected, palin will again be given an oppertunity to cram all sorts of information and probably incredibly valuable experience. Over the course of 8 years perhaps she would be better suited, but in under 8 i would be far less sure of her.

I just see her out of the four as being less able to delegate and surround herself with informed individuals (and to seek their counsel when necessary). Certainly you dont have to be a genius to be a great executive, but you do need to be able to spot talent and utilize the talent effectively around you. While palin certainly has her pluses in terms of her base, i see her as clearly being the least effective in a presidential style role (her successes in Alaska, notwithstanding).

Palin is more conservative than anyone that has run. i think she would get the blessings of the GOP. no doubt.

can you imagine in 4 yrs... palin vs clinton...now that would be a fight. lol
