Nice run by McCoy... I hate that it was preceeded by a fictional personal foul call.

Another nice drive and OSU is starting to look like Texas Toast.

Not the best executed game ever. Texas looked uninspired for most of the 1st half and at times during the second half. Their defense was full of holes however a stuttering Ohio State offense had trouble sustaining drives to get into the end zone. There were bad calls given off by the refs though I think they roughly balanced out in the end (that one call that I believe set up Ohio State's first TD, while I would have not ruled pass interference myself, the corner back did pull slightly on the receiver's shoulder so there was a slight hold). I couldn't shake the feeling that Colt McCoy was nervous during that game. Looking at his eyes he never seemed comfortable.

I don't know. It was a decent game but I couldn't help but feel that when all was said and done both teams could have played much better, especially Texas.

I was kind of hoping the Buckeyes would cross midfield in the final seconds
and let their kicker put one through the uprights from an absurd distance
to send the game into OT... for some additional drama.

Yeah. Just think though one of the biggest difference makers in the game came in the first half when OSU had the bad snap and hold on the field goal causing the kicker to shank it well left of the uprights. If not for that then the game would have gone into overtime. Of course the same could have been said about McCoy throwing a good pass at the end of the 1st half which would have been the difference between an interception and a touchdown. That would have given Texas at least a 9-6 lead, if not 10-6 lead going into half-time.

Is it just me or has the Big 12 South only won 1 game and is responsible for both of the Big 12 losses?

Heh... neither of those Big 12 losses compare to what Utah did to 'Bama,
and the Bulldog nation just got a kick in the butt after a disappointing season
with Stafford and Moreno announcing they will enter the NFL draft.

Beanie Wells ran for 100+ yards in the first half against the Longhorns in the Fiesta Bowl
but couldn't return to finish the game after taking a shot to the head, and he's leaving
Columbus for the NFL draft also. I wonder if Mark Sanchez will make an early exit too?

I think people who want a NCAA Division I Football playoff will make a big stink about the
credibility of the BCS while making some noise that the 13-0 Utes have earned this year's
mythical National Championship... and that tonight's game isn't for all the marbles after all.

Speaking of MYTHICAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS...
I don't expect Oklahoma to put 60+ points on the scoreboard tonight,
but I do expect them to do enough to win it.

A tight game --and nailbiter-- for fans on both sidelines.
Oklahoma certainly blew some great opportunities
and Florida toughed it out.

Tebow was great as always, but was definitely a team win.

Great defense for Florida and pretty good for Oklahoma too. I have to say I was impressed by Florida's goal line stand at the 1 yard line. Managing to keep the RB out of the end zone more than once.

I have no comment here. I just wish Moreno would have stayed for one more season.

I don't think he earned it tonight. It was a solid performance but he made some major mistakes in the passing game and while he was eating them up running it, he's had much better games. He does get my vote for player of the game only because I can't give it to the entire defensive unit.

In the end a very good game and while the score was a good bit off from what I was expecting, the rest was pretty much the same. The defenses for both sides of the ball played their best in the areas I felt they would. The offenses played the way I felt they would with the exception that Tebow did not have the night I was expecting him to have, though still a very good performance out of him. And a late pick by a Florida defender had a huge impact on the game just like I thought it would.

My player of the game: Tebow, followed closely by Harvin.

My play of the game: The interception in the 4th quarter. Not as big as Harvin's run in the 4th but I think a bigger impact on the game.

The best thing for Florida is that it could easily be them playing on this stage again next year.

I guess. I didn't really think that any of the nominees had Heismanesque seasons but then again I'm not easily impressed by the performance of individuals.

well...head to head he beat Bradford, and he was better than Harrell, so that leaves me with just Tebow...but since I don't vote for Heisman, I don't matter
