Falconer Fans! (the band, not the occupation)

Post by saxitoxin »

Who else are fans of Falconer like poor ol' Sax here?

One of my young patients introduced me to the musical genius of Mathias 2 years ago and I've been hooked ever since! Would like to meet some other CC Falconer fanatics!

Thanks, gang!

I know of them, but I cannot count myself among their fans.

Convince me and I shall purchase their/an album.

Some of you know, I run two and walk two miles a day, and I am all for new music for my MP3 player. The "What song are you listening to" thread has been pretty helpful.

Also, if there was a 0-10 scale to say how likely I am to buy their album, and 0 was "never gonna happen" and 10 was "I'm paying for overnight shipping," well then that Northwind song has me at a 2. that's not a run-on sentence dad just listen.....

Does that surprise you?! Ol' Saxi is a great music fan - I was at the first ever concert the great rock group Die Puhdys gave back in '69, before they achieved international stardom.

GabonX - being an American rightist as you are, you'd like Falconer's song "Mountain Men" since it's an anti-tax anthem based on the history of the Engelbrekt Rebellion against Eric the Pomeranian, Sweden's version of the Tea Party.

Anywho, given the international audience of CC I'm surprised there are no more Falconer fans out there! Where are you guys?

You can learn more about Swedish history after listening to an hour of Falconer than 3-years of university study.

Saxi's Top 3 FAV Falconer songs:

"Man of the Hour"

a perfect song for jogging ... about the capsizing of the world's largest ship, the Swedish man-of-war Kronan, during the Battle of Öland

"Perjury and Sanctity"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64RFqj1wtj4
about the execution of the Gävle Boy during Sweden's version of the Salem Witch Trials

"Carnival of Disgust"

about the use of the death penalty in pre-renaissance Sweden

I thought this was going to be about people who were fans of The Falconer from Saturday Night Live.

I think we can all agree that people who train and hunt with falcons are universally accepted as undeniably awesome. And as you're probably aware, the entertainment value of a thread is inversely proportional to the amount of agreement and acceptance within it. So talking about actual falconry wouldn't make for much of a thread.
