anger about politics

Postby the carpet man on Thu Feb 16, 2012 12:43 pm

why are you people so angry about politics or religion or homosexuality (you know who you are)

why can you not just shrug and let go? there are some beautiful sunsets to enjoy if you find the time

Some of us live in Barrow, Alaska where the sun never rises and vampires rule the town with only Josh Hartnett to protect us.

Some of us aren't heartless sociopaths who actually care about society.

I've only driven drunk once. We had a company get together out at Salt Lick ( a famous BBQ place outside of Austin) with dancing and poker and lots of drinking. Well, after about 6 beers and 3 shots of Jack within about an hour and a half, it was time to leave. (I got there late...)

All I can say is that I have no idea how I made it home in one piece. Luckily there was a train of cars heading back into town so I could kind of follow the car in front of me. Not something I want to do again. It wasn't fun. Made for a fun story to tell later on though, over some shots of Patron and more Dos Equis, plus a big fat blunt. Man, I miss my old job. Lots of fun there.

There's a few people out there who might have said the same thing
if they'd made it home alive. You're a lucky man, as well as the people
you might have met on the way home.

I was in a jury pool for a DWI case where the driver had survived
a head on crash, but the three people in the other car didn't. The
scary part was when the defense attorney asked the prospective
jurors to raise their hand if they'd ever been convicted of a DWI
and half of the group raised their hands.

Is that Boba Fett?

And if so, why is he carrying a gigantic magnet or tuning fork?

I remember the holiday special, I don't remember the tuning fork/magnet wielding Boba Fett.

Fun story - I was 10 at Disney World with my parents. We had just seen some Star Wars thing and we were looking at the gift shop. My mother pointed out that there was a "Bubba Fett" figure. A woman beside her said "It's pronounced Boaba." My mom asked, "What the hell is wrong with you?"
