I have a 2000 Compaq Presario(originally windows me)
and a 2004 HP Pavilion
and a 2006 Gateway Computer that we use.
We don't use the others because the Compaq presario got quite obsolete and running windows xp over windows me on the 128mb ram didn't quite work so we upgraded. A little while ago the hard drive on the Hp Pavilion crashed(Samsung, so I'm not surprised) Anyways so recently I decided to take the hard drive from the Presario and put it in the pavilion to get that working again(not a bad computer 1.8 ghz processor 512mb ram). I took the 30gb western digital hard drive out of the presario computer, and it had a gateway recovery partition on it.
Now for my question, where the hell did the Gateway recovery partition come from? Is this standard for Western Digital harddrives? or did this come sometime when I installed windows XP?
