The Best Roman Emperor

So, what is your opinion? Which Roman Emperor (excluding Augustus, since he would/should destroy anyone else in a poll) was the best?

I've added a poll with the best emperors that I can think of. I hope it's editable.

but seriously, Marcus Aurelius by far. i've read his Meditations several times over already, and will again soon. now, if only i could follow his advice more strictly...

but seriously, if you haven't already, you should all read the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. very valuable stuff.

well, i like the idea of the "philosopher king" -- and meditations is part of it, but i really do think Aurelius was the best emporer, as far as emporers can go.
