Future Speed Tournaments - Express Your Interest Here

Postby Teflon Kris on Sun Jul 25, 2010 10:01 am

Hey folks

This thread is for players and TOs alike to express their interest in participating in, or organising, speed tournaments.

If there are specific times of the week that are better for you then please post this.

TOs will use this thread to let you know of upcoming Speed Tournaments, and hopefully, a Speed League we are hoping to run.

:D

P.S. Coming soon, an advice thread for TOs planning to run a Speed Tournament.

Interested in both.

Can this work?

It would be great if players could arrange time
in which they can play speed game.

That would be great for league.
Players would have weekly based games
(time frame can change)
and they should work out the best time for themselves.

i'm interested in playing! the best time for me is 1:30-4 PM EST Monday-Friday. 1 vs 1 would be ideal, since that moves quickly.

I'd be interested in playing, and maybe organizing sometime in the future. The best time for me is usually all day on the weekends, but especially from 8 pm - midnight PST (10 pm - 2am CST)

I'm interested in both. The best for me is starting around 9 PM Eastern time, but I can often make other times (I know you live in England DJ, so that doesn't work)

Good news is that it often works at the weekend that we Europeans and you North Americans play speed tournaments at a time that we can both live with.

And more good news is that there will hopefully (soon) be an expansion of the Speed League - probably on Wednesday nights - with time-zone-related divisions.

hi

HA had a good tourney where you had a
whole week to play the games, instead
of specific time of the day. so, you could
have a speed tourney that lasts the whole
day or 2 and set up a minimum number of
games to play. dunno how you wanna have
the winner. it could be win percentage or
an objective.

I hesitate to sign up for tourneys with
specific time slot cause I'm on call and things
unexpectedly come up (I prefer avoiding
no shows).
but, if there is a 24 or 48 hour window to play
the games I'd be more interested and probably
other players cause it wouldn't depend on time
zones.
