Lindax Retires
It is my unfortunate duty to announce that Lindax chose to retire from his position as Tournament Director a couple of weeks ago. Lindax has been an excellent Tournament Director during his stint, including being instrumental in completely revamping our Abandoned and Rescued Tournament Policies. Because of his actions, almost all of the tournaments that would have been abandoned and ended were instead rescued by a myriad of organizers under Lindax's organization and leadership. He put many hours into CC Tournaments helping with other areas such as GA Medals and International Tournaments. He also was a key person for me to bounce ideas back and forth with, check me if I tried to do something stupid, and help identify areas that needed addressed. Because of these contributions, I have awarded him a separate General Contribution medal for his outstanding contributions to CC Tournaments. You'll still be able to catch Lindax running a few tournaments, but he will definitely be missed as a Tournament Director.
Serbia Turns Gold
On a more positive note, it is my pleasure to announce that Serbia has joined the Tournament Director ranks. His name had come up several months ago as a possible TD, and I felt that now was the best time to add him and get him rolling. As some of you may have noticed, he began getting his feet wet this past weekend and has now officially donned the golden robe. Please welcome him to the TD team.
Tournament Tasks
Although Serbia will be the primary Director for adding new tournaments to the database and moving over full ones, with sonicsteve currently on vacation, we have not yet been able to redistribute our TD tasks so split up the list of tasks that Lindax was in charge of. When we get things settled and I update the official list, I will post a notification here. In the mean time, tokle will be handling all things Abandoned/Rescued, DJ Teflon will handle GA Medals, and everything else can be sent to me. Please give us some patience as we get everything shifted around and forgive us if we lose something important of yours in the shuffle.
