This tourney was in need of rescuing, so I have been given permission to take over as TO. Here is alink to the Old Thread
This tournament will be played on maps from the past, present and future
Past: Prohibition Chicago, 13 Colonies, American Civil War and New World
Present: Operation Drug War, USA, Arms Race and World 2.1
Future : Supermax: Prison Riot, Fractured America, USApocalypse and Extreme Global Warming
free players are welcome to join, please have two spots open for the tournament
The settings for this tournament will be:
Initial Troops: Automatic
Play Order: Sequential
Spoils: Nuclear
Reinforcements: Chained
Fog of War: No
The first round will be a round robin style with a player getting two points for winning a match. In the case of a tie the player with the most individual wins from all the maps will advance. The next tie breaker is head to head outcome. If there are more than two players tie a three way game will be played on Classic.
The top three players in each group will advance to the knockout stage.
The knockout stage will be a bracket style with the players seeded based on their finishing points in the round robin. The winner of the original PPF tournaments will be automatically entered into the knockout stage and seeded 1 for their quadrant of the bracket.
Each bracket will play a best of three on the selected maps.
In the semi-finals a best of three for each past, present and future will be played. The Crime/USA and USA @ War/World quadrants will play each other in the semis.
So for instance the Crime/USA semis will feature play on Prohibition Chicago, 13 Colonies, Operation Drug War, USA, Supermax: Prison Riot and Fractured America.
The third game if necessary will be on one of American Civil War and New World for past, Arms Race and World 2.1 for present or USApocalypse and Extreme Global Warming for future.
In the finals a best of five will be played for past, present and future using all the maps and the tie breaker will be on classic.
When registering please specify which quadrant you would like to play in; Crime, USA, USA @ War or World. If you do not specify which group you want to start in I will place you the group that has the least number of players.
