Congratulations to skillfusniper33 and woodsy2115 for winning the Train a Noob Doubles Tournament! Skillfusniper33 will receive a tournament medal for winning the “Train a Noob” tournament and woodsy2115 will receive a tournament medal for winning the “Trained Noob” tourney.
THIS IS MEANT TO BE A 2 PART TOURNAMENT: PLEASE JOIN THE “MAKE A CHAMPION” TOURNAMENT AS WELL
This tournament will be composed of 16 doubles teams. The teams will be divided into 4 pools and will play a round robin within it (1 game against each team). The top team from each bracket will advance into the semifinals with the other 3 winners and play a single elimination bracket style game with the winners facing off for the win in the finals. In the case of a tie within the brackets, the winner will be decided by whoever won the game against the other team. In the case of a 3 or 4 team tie, all teams will compete in a single 6 or 8 player doubles game and the winner of that game will advance.
Here’s the twist: Each team will be composed of a “mentor” and a “noob”. The noob has to be a player with fewer than 200 games completedm have a score of less than 1500 points, and not have any teammate medals; the mentor can be anyone who surpasses those requirements. Players can either sign up as a team or a single.
The winning mentor will receive a tournament medal for winning the “Train a Noob” tournament and the winning noob will receive a tournament medal for winning the “Trained Noob” tourney.
All games will be on the classic map with CC settings.
Once again, I entreat everyone to please sign up for both this tournament and the “Make a Champion” tournament.
Edit (8-25-12): Due to the large disparity between the number of mentors and noobs, I will no longer be taking SINGLE mentors. Mentors who enter in with a noob will still be allowed Edit (8-26-12): Noobs can now enter who've played under 200 games. This is up from 100 games in the past
Darth emperor, you are in By the way people, once we get close to 20, if I don't have extra noobs for mentors, a full team takes precedence and you might not end up in the tournament. So PLEASE try to find a noob
Announcement: Due to the lack of noobs who meet the requirement, I'm allowing players who have completed less than 200 games and meet all other requirements to play as the "noob". This is up from the 100 game maximum of the past.
