The Final Point Grabbers

The time has finally come that this great franchise be laid to rest as tournaments become more popular and each day we see many more small bracket tournaments arriving it is time for the most successful franchise in CC tournament history to calmly walk into the proverbial sunset. Point Grabbers has paved the way for many franchise tournaments and it always has been and forever will be one of the most popular and fastest filling tournaments in CC lore.

With this final installment to the Point Grabbers series, [player]Optimus Prime[/player] will be officially retiring from the tournament organizing profession. I will no longer be running multiple tournaments at a time, and may even go long stretches without anything new to announce, but there will still be a small tournament here and there as fits my fancy. There are so many other projects that I dream of working on here at CC, that it is time for me to move on to another arena. Don't worry though, I will remain in my Tournament Director position until Twill pries it from my dead fingers.

So, without further adieu, I bring to you the Final Point Grabbers tournament for your gaming pleasure! Join up, have some fun, and take home some points!

ALL PLAYERS ARE WELCOME! TOURNAMENT SCHEDULED TO START ON JULY 16TH IF FULL

The Details:

The tournament will be made up of 8 brackets, each comprised of 16 players that will play a series of 2-player games. Each bracket will feature one of my favorite maps from CC, and will be single elimination. Lose and go home, win and you live for another day. All brackets will be seeded by player score. The brackets and maps are as follows:

Luxurious Bracket: British Isles
Privileges Bracket: Ireland
Lockerbot Bracket: WWII Eastern Front
Legend Bracket: BeNeLux
Moverbot Bracket: Great Lakes
Optimus Prime Bracket: USA
Organizer Bracket: Indochina
Loverbot Bracket: San Francisco

All games will use these settings: Sequential, Flat Rate, Chained, Sunny

The winners from each of the 8 brackets will then advance to the Final Bracket, which will be a double elimination bracket with the 8 finalists. All games for the Finals will be played on the new Iceland map provided it has been loaded onto the site at that time. If not, an alternative map will be chosen.

Something i dont get: You say Loser to: Eks: H. Is it loosing which is the point in the game?

Just ignore those for the most part. They are just to signify where players move in the double-elimination bracket. Trust me, you don't want to lose games at all. You have to win everything in the first bracket, and in the Finals (if you get there) you will have a 1 loss cushion.
