16 or 32 player 1x1 bracket style tournament. Must have 2500+ points at time of sign up.
I'd like to have 32 players but if we don't have enough by Dec. 1 then the first 16 to sign up will have the spots. I don't want to do byes. Depending on how fast Round 1 goes we will play either 1 or 2 rounds before taking a break until January.
Players will be seeded based on points at time of sign-up.
The rounds of 16 & 8 (also 32 if we get enough) will be best 4 of 7 and all games will be played at once.
The Semi-finals will be 14 games and each map will be played twice. If there is a tie then an additional game of Feudal War will be played as a tie breaker.
The Finals will be best 11 of 21 and each map will be played 3 times.
In the Semis and Finals players will play 7 games at a time.
Below are the 7 maps for each round. All will be sequential with no spoils and adjacent reinforcements
AOR3 - fog
Age of Merchants - no fog
Bamboo Jack - no fog
Feudal War - no fog
New World - fog
Waterloo - no fog
World 2.1 - no fog
I reserve the right to change the fort setting on any of these maps up until the tournament starts. If anyone has a point of view on why chained is better for a particular map ... I'm interested in your thoughts.
