Okay, if you're getting this message your team is in the top eight and eligible for the team finale.

Oct. 22nd post, so this should be no surprise.)

To give home ice (or home pitch for those of you who don't play hockey, lol) advantage to the higher-ranking team, the higher ranking team in each match will pick 2 maps and the lower-ranking team will pick one map. The maps can ONLY be chosen from those that were used in the tournament: Africa, France, Nordic Countries, Iceland, USA, Lunar War, Arctic, Greenland, South America, Australia, and Oceania. If you qualify to pick 2 maps, they must be 2 different maps from the list. If you are the team only picking one, you can pick any map, and there is no problem with it being the same as a map that the other team chose.
There was never a discussion of who should be "team captain" and post the chosen maps. For simplicity, I'm just going with the player who has the most points. So, captains are:
Ir1sh Ace
general_c
fbonsignori
dustin800
Pandemonium
rjhankey
davetso
bandidoI want to hear from the team captains as soon as possible. Only Gael Force still has all its members active, the rest of you all need to make substitutions. I've been saying for four months to start thinking about it, so I hope nobody is caught off guard.
If you have freemiums on your team, they need to free up slots for this NOW. (Long ago in a fit of irritation I said that a freemium who didn't keep 3 slots free for this would forfeit, but I think that was a stupid thing to say. We've been patient with our freemiums all along, there's no reason to break precedent. Still, people need to be actively trying to free up slots, not just assuming that we'll wait forever.)
I want you to post your chosen maps A.S.A.P. If you are in the 1 to 4 range, you pick 2 maps for the first round, if you are in the 5 to 8 range you pick one map. The maps, of course, must be from those that were used in the tournament.
Okay, gentlemen! Let's get these boats in the water! Congratulations on getting this far, and best of luck in the home stretch.
