NO. TEAM, CONF. WINS LOSSES RPI
1 Michigan State Spartans, Big Ten 5-0 0.744
2 Brigham Young Cougars, Ind. 6-0 0.714
3 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, WAC 5-0 0.696
4 Tulsa Golden Hurricane, C-USA 5-0 0.685
5 Wyoming Cowboys, MWC 5-0 0.680
6 South Carolina Gamecocks, SEC 5-0 0.660
7 Texas A&M Aggies, Big-12 4-0 0.658
8 Iowa State Cyclones, Big-12 4-0 0.657
9 Ohio State Buckeyes, Big Ten 4-1 0.642
10 Ball State Cardinals, MAC 6-0 0.641
11 Memphis Tigers, C-USA 4-1 0.637
12 Boise State Broncos, MWC 3-2 0.635
13 Nevada Wolf Pack, WAC 3-1 0.622
14 USC Trojans, PAC-12 5-0 0.615
15 Bowling Green Falcons, MAC 3-1 0.613
16 Florida State Seminoles, ACC 4-0 0.611
17 Alabama Crimson Tide, SEC 4-1 0.608
18 North Carolina Tar Heels, ACC 6-0 0.607
19 Kansas State Wildcats, Big-12 4-1 0.604
20 Missouri Tigers, Big-12 4-1 0.602
21 Air Force Falcons, MWC 4-1 0.596
22 Colorado State Rams, MWC 3-1 0.594
23 Stanford Cardinal, PAC-12 2-1 0.585
24 Kentucky Wildcats, SEC 4-1 0.579
25 Southern Miss Golden Eagles, C-USA 4-1 0.570
On the cusp: Vanderbilt (3-1), Indiana (5-1), Iowa (3-1)

I tweaked the formula slightly to give a bit less weight to wins over top-25 teams. The old formula would have left Florida (3-3) at #25. This also bumped Ohio State and Boise State down a couple of notches, which I feel is more accurate.

Hey now Rodent...anything that bumps Boise State down can't be more accurate :)
I'm thrilled to be sitting at No. 12 actually.

I also won and im now 6-0, but my RPI went down from 0.668 to 0.641!! dont understand this RPI but how can i go down with a win???

How a team that is 4-1 is above a team thats 6-0 and a team thats 3-2 is above a team thats 5-0 is a bit of a joke!

Your RPI went down because I tweaked the formula to give less weight to wins over Top-25 teams. I did this in order to try and balance things more towards performance instead of strength of schedule, which is the reason for the things in your second question. It's not perfect, but then what is? Especially when it comes to college football?

I understand nothing is perfect butcome on how can a 3-2 win be better than a 5-0 or a 4-1 to a 6-0 thingsjust dont seem to ass up here mate!
As for changing the formula during the tounament did you ask if this was ok???

Thanks

 Sorry dude, that made me laugh like a loon.

I didn't ask if it was OK because it was just a tweak to balance things better. It should benefit you (6-0 team with weak schedule) and hinder teams like Boise State (3-2 against very strong schedule). In the end, it will only matter for a few teams, because conference championships will determine 11 of the 16 playoff teams.

What defines a top 25 win, if you beat them when they were in the top 25? or if you beat a team that is now in the top 25?

A Top-25 win is beating a team in the Top 25 the week you played them.

thanks for the explanations Rodent...

The RPI is also designed to balance out with the most fair numbers late in the season, you can win a game and still have your # drop because it's weighted strongly on your strength of schedule...so if the teams you've played already this year all lost during a certain week, it would hurt your RPI.

#12 Boise State makes its bid for a spot in the top-10 with a sneaker win at #22 Colorado State...should win by a point or two, moving the Broncos to 3-0 against ranked opponents. Great battle Highlander...a fun series.
