All of the Iceland games are done, most of the Nordics, and half of the USAs. Therefore, I think it's time we tried to start the next map!

The Adventures of Captain Hatteras was part of a series which also included Journey to the Centre of the Earth and From the Earth to the Moon that we have already explored. This is one that I've never read, and anything I could say about it would simply involve plagiarizing Wikipedia, so I'll just give you the wikipedia link instead: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventures_of_Captain_Hatteras

We will play two maps representing this book, Arctic and Greenland. On Arctic the bonus is to hold the Ice Cap for two rounds (the whole Ice Cap) and on Greenland the bonus is to hold all 3 passes for 3 rounds (that one sounds damn near impossible without winning the game, but hey, maybe somebody will pull it off!)

As always I expect some of our freemium players won't have an available slot. As long as you are trying to free up a slot and are communicating then I will work with you and will not abruptly boot you from the tournament. I'm trying to be as co-operative as possible here, and I'm only booting people for missing invites if they either haven't been on CC for a long time or if they don't seem to be showing any interest in freeing up a slot any time soon.

Most of you already know Pandemonium as one of your tougher opponents.

Now you can know him as the scorekeeper! For the last week or so, Pandemonium has been helping me get the spreadsheet and the individual scoreboards are all now completely caught up. Last night I wrote to the TDs and had him officially appointed as the assistant TO.

Game 9401798 how does the bonus work, simply take any 2 oceans or only those with mare in their name or what?

I guess only those with Mare in the name. No idea what was DJ's original intention, but it seems we will have the fewest arguments if we just limit it to that.

Special bonus is set on each map. If you can reach conditions for any bonus, you will get + 10 pts. Bonuses are available only with 4 players left.

Sorry, I would have to say no. Because you killed magneto_acolyte on your first complete turn after collecting Pennsylvania, you lost your opportunity to collect the bonus.

we have no clue what is up with Mc Lor. Nobody in RA does. Vio doesn't know anyone with his pw. It's looking like you should probably replace him. It's up to you but he's missing alot of games w/ no word.

The bonus -- hold 3 passes for 3 rounds -- seems almost impossible, but then we've also had some games with easily achieved bonuses, so I guess it balances out.

n.n. has a slot at the moment, and PnC is in an escalating New World game that should go fairly quickly now that card cashing has begun. So I guess dexter and growler will be our problem children for this round...

Edit: Duncana doesn't have a slot either.
