This tournament is based on the town of Prešov.. Prešov is Slovakia's third largest city. In 1919 it was the capital of the short-lived Slovak Soviet Republic.

Antonín Janoušek, Chairman of the Slovak Soviet Republic.
This map is still a Beta map, and subject to change. One of the things currently being debated is the bonus for the capital cities. If you want to read up on it, the discussion goes from about here and carries on for at least one page. Anyway, the bonus for the capitals may change during this tournament, so beware.
To help you experiment with the new bonuses, I'm going to give you an extra incentive to attack the capitals!
Scoring for the tournament:
4 points for the first player to capture Bratislava and post in game chat, provided that a majority of the players are still alive at that point.
3 points for the first player to capture Praha and post in game chat, provided that a majority of the players are still alive at that point.
2 points to the eventual winner of the game.
1 points for the first player to capture Prešov. and post in game chat, provided that a majority of the players are still alive at that point.
Pay careful attention to the rules. Capturing the capitals will give you a lot more points than winning the game. The points are not mutually exclusive, so you can get 10 points in one game if you are the first to capture all three capitals (the two real capitals plus Prešov.) and go on to win the game. However, to make your capital capture count, you MUST post it in game chat, to make it easier for me to track these points. If you fail to post in game chat, you don't get the points. Also, you can only get the capital-capture points while a majority of players are still alive in the game. Since these are all 5-player games, that means 3 players must still be alive. Once it's down to the last 2 players, capital captures don't count.
All games will be 5-player Standard, Automatic, Sequential, Chained, 24-hour turns with a 20-round limit.
Twenty-five players will be segregated according to their score at the time the tournament starts into five groups. Do not sign up with your score; I will check it after the tournament is full and before making the first round of games.
Each group will play 9 games: sunny escalating, foggy flat rate, sunny nukes, foggy no spoils, sunny flat rate trench, foggy zombie, sunny no spoils, foggy flat rate trench, and foggy escalating. The player with the most points in each group will advance to the final.
Points will reset before the final. The final will have the same games and the same scoring rules as the primary round.
