not  already joined one of the current Official World Cup Celebration Tournaments can pre-register (others may be able to join on the day however).
Players must remain logged-on to CC until they are out of the tournament, or until they win.

  Number of Players:   30 (see below for contingency plans if less than 30, or up to 36 players turn-up)Format:   A bit like the Spain '82 World Cup - First & Second Round are both Group Stages, then 1 v 1 semi-finals and finals.Map:   WC 2010Settings:  Speed, Sequential and Automatic.  Escalating spoils.  Adjacent reinforcements.  Fog of War.N.B.1.  Settings may be subject to change if necessary for the efficiency of the tournament.  
show: Important Rules 
  1.  Players must respond to game invitation PMs within 5 minutes to avoid disappointment.  Some first round games may start up to 20 minutes early as a result.  If players fail to respond quickly enough they may lose their place in the tournament (and be replaced by a reserve, or player eliminated in the previous round). (This is to avoid the problem of a player not joining a game he is invited to, or dropping out after joining).  
show:   Contingency Plans - Alternative Formats 
  If more then 30 players start the tournament then we will revert to one of the following formats:36 Players 33 Players *  The last eliminated player surviving longest from all games will also qualify.  If more than one player survives the same number of rounds then the qualifying player will be determined by the total number of armies remaining on the board for the winner of the games in question.
