All are welcome to join and participate in the association. You need do nothing more than join one or more of the TPA3 events that will be announced each Monday. Check back on the scoreboard to see how you're doing:
Signup & How the group stage works How this tournament works is as follows. Each contenstant in sign-ups, chooses their "specialised subject", you can choose whatever settings you want for this. Groups of four will be randomly created. In your group, everybody will play the specialised subjects, 3 random maps & settings, and one classic. So for example, my specialised subject is: 8 Thoughts, Automatic, Freestyle, Flat Rate, Unlimited, Foggy, NO Trenches. All the contestants will play on that map. We'll also play on Dave's specialised subject which is Austro-Hungarain Empire, Manual, Sequential, No Spoils, Adjacent, Sunny, Trench Warfare. After, we've played on everybody's specialised subjects, everybody will play 3 random maps and settings and finally one on Classic Map.
Scoring 5 points for first, 3 for second, 2 for third, and 1 for fourth. IF you come last, you will receive a PASS. This will be used as a tiebreaker (least amount of passes) in the case of a tie on points. Deadbeating results in an immediate 0 points and 2 passes.
Progression Through The Rounds 48 players sign up. These become 12 groups of four. Winner of each group go through and the four best losers. 16 players are in Round Two. 4 groups of 4. Winner goes through. 4 man final.
Other Rules You may not have a map that someone else has taken, or a beta map. I'll post a list of sign-ups and the map they have taken. I'll send two invites for each game. Miss them both, you will recieve zero points and two passes. When signing up, you need to post the full list of settings, I have provided a template.

Can you clear up what would happen in a tiebreaker situation?

Firstly points, secondly passes, after that a 1 v 1 game. So 19 points with 2 passes beats 18 points with one pass.

Sorry, no. For two reasons 1) I don't what it go back to the drawing board halfway through the tournament and 2) Some players may and try and abuse the map if there is a balance flaw that they are aware of
However, if it does get officially released, before the start of the tournament, drop me a line and I'll change your map.

You need to take the URL tag out of your image code. Otherwise, clicking on the image to try to enlarge it just takes you through to imageshack. Not a fatal error, but annoying.

Only if a game is holding up the tournament. Then I'll pop my head into a game, and give players 96 hours to wrap up the game, scoring I think will be standard.
