Looks fairly decent. The question is - is Clue a Hasbro product? After all, the site's hitting them hard so far - why not continue that pattern *wink*?

1) You have to name all of the terrs that don't have pictures.

Can do... will hit it tonight...
Aerial Attack wrote:2) You need a new picture for Den - while a nice picture, it will confuse people with the Bear Attack picture

Crud, I liked the bear skinned run as the Den. What if I changed the weapon to a Rhino attack? What else would symbolize a den?

Aerial Attack wrote:3) The "weapons" don't currently have places for their labels. True, if you READ the legend you can figure out what each picture is. But, since this is the large map, the fonts and the pictures will be smaller on the small map. Actually the fonts are a bit blurry as is - you need to sharpen them and don't make them any smaller.

Yes I noticed, not sure why, but converting the image to a JPG always seems to blurry it up. Can anyone reccomend a really cleam font, that converts well? As to the weapons, ack, obviously correct. Perhaps a number key? A list of the weapons, with a number that coresponds to the weapon?

Thanks!

I was very careful to only use pictures I purchased, and all have been labeled as public domain. If I couldn't find a picture I wanted, then I would change what I wanted. Nothing off the web.

Kaplowitz wrote:Right now its very busy, i cant see the teritory lines.

Not sure what I can do about the 'busy', but I will make the lines more visible.

If I broke the rooms up into 2-4 areas, I could make the hallway spaces bigger. Would that be a good idea?

Herakilla wrote:*add to my last post* (too lazy to edit)

i dont mean add more people, just add weapons and make them a small bonus perhaps, a little something to go for

I see your point, but this is a parody, as such, I want to keep the resemblence to the original as close as I can.

You could add people or things from CC in that map. Next to the dungeon have ms. wicked, the computer could have mr. lack, instead of that brown bear you could have a polar bear, maybe that observatory could tie in with the space map, and I'm not seeing where the "weapons" are. I can look again though.

This could be a cool map after tweeking with it. :D

I thought about adding the CC content, but didn't want to do it without seeing if the Mods etc. think it's a good idea. (Not sure how much Ms. Wicked wants to be connect to the dungeon... hehehe...)

The weapons are little cards around the maps, the borders of the pics are color coded to the suspect they are connected to, for a bonus. I need to make them more visible.

if you want to keep it close but not the same why not use weapons like

the pipe of smashingness

candlestick of burningnation

wrench of fixin your head

innacurate pistol

pre-noosed rope

dagger of backstabbing

lol i may or may not be drunk and tired right now

At what point will I know if this map has a reasonable chance of being accepted? Will someone tell me right out that it isn't worth finishing up? Just curious...

Version three of the map up. Fewer territories, hopefully less busy-busy...

I've always been a fan of board game mash-ups. Do it.

And if you'd like to share this idea with the general C public I encourage you to post a description of the map at:

It is a parody of the game of Clue, in which the object is to determine which of the suspects commited a murder, with what weapon, and in which room.

The bonuses for this map are (for the most part) based on the each suspect having 'done it', with a specific weapon, in a specific room.

If you combine the three territories that make up a set (a suspect, his or her weapon, and the correct location) you get a bonus.

In addition, you can get a bonus for controlling all of the suspects, all of the weapons, or all of the rooms.

The goal of this is to create a situation of cross-purposes, where one player could be going for a suspect to get the person-weapon-room bonus, while another might be going for the all the suspects bonus.

As in the source, the corner rooms can move to their diagonal opposite.

Does that clear things up any?
