Should the temples be linked?

maybe its a bad idea to connect the temples beacose you could get attacked from more places so you couldnt hold the continent for a lot of time

The space map plays fine, I don't see how temple connections are bad.

Hard to hold continents isn't a drawback, it's a feature. Not every continent can be Australia.

how about a tunnel with three parts between lake hylia and zoras domain. these 3 "countries" will not belong to a continent and wont have a bonus (like the claims in world 2.0 map) you may call them east tunnel, west tunnel and middle tunnel or something similar.
same idea for geruda valley and lakeside observatory connection with two "countries", north tunnel, south tunnel

this will certainly look better than an arrow and bring some variety to the map. that will fit also good in the general concept.

New version. Nothing huge changed.

Poll initiated. I think it's best to decide what to do with the temples before any changes are made to the other inter-continent links, like making them one-way or making them continent-neutral tunnels.

Gerudo River

Postby newline on Tue Jul 17, 2007 1:50 pm

just as a side note that you might want to put in the xml file the Gerudo River only alows you to travel from the Gerudo Bridge to Lake Hylia. so you might want to make it a one-way border.

this might not work out but i thought it would be a cool idea to make the all the temples(including time) a continent.

as far as copyright goes, i hear nintendo are usually pretty good with that sort of thing. hyrule castle in the background would be amazing.

wanted this map for a while, looks good so far.

hope it doesnt crash and burn! a lot of people will want to play this

Actually Nintendo stopped us [CC] from making a Super Mario themed map long before I ever got here.

Triforce is probably fine. If I remember right, the mario map they smashed wasn't even exactly super mario, but the author was using super mario graphics in a very super mario like way. (Did I just use Super Mario as an adjective?) Anyway, we could probably consider this map a parody of Zelda if we didn't use any of their art. But I think lack is very very nervous about copyright issues.

Best looking video game map I've ever seen. =P~ But, I don't remember being able to go from Lake Hylia to Zora's domain or Lake Hylia's "Lake side lab" to Gerudo valley... Weren't those only one ways into Lake Hylia? :-k

in the actual game gerudo valley to lakeside lab is a 1 way trip

u can't get from lakeside to valley cause its up a river but u can fall from the valley into the river to get to the lab

make that change

Is the original guy that was doing this even here anymore? Anyway, I think a TP map might be a better choice. But anyway, this is actually coming along very well.
