This tournament will be a longer standard gameplay tournament. Set over 3 long rounds of 20 games. The victor truly will deserve the win.
Settings Each game will be with the following settings: 4 player, Automatic, Sequential, Escalating, Chained, Sunny
Maps The 20 maps being used for this tournament are: Classic, Africa, Alexanders Empire, Ancient Greece, Asia, Australia, BeNeLux, British Isles, Cairns Metro, Canada, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Middle East, Mongol Empire, Montreal, USA, WW2 Eastern Front.
Rounds Round 1: The 32 players are sorted into 8 pools of 4. They are sorted using rank at time of privs given.
The top 2 players in each pool with the most points after the 20 games will advance to Round 2. Deadbeats will be replaced by reserves.
Round 2: The 16 players remaining will then be sorted into 4 pools seeded on points scored in the previous round. (Any tied points will then be seeded on previous seed)
The top player in each pool with the most points after the 20 games will advance to the Final Round. Deadbeats will be replaced by the highest non-qualifying scorer among all the pools in Round 1.
Finals: The 4 remaining players will play in a single pool.
Gameplay Each pool will then play 20 games sent out in 4 batches of 5. New sets will hopefully be sent no earlier than a week apart, no later than a fortnight. Players will earn points for wins and places finished in games, as well as bonuses. (see scoring below for details)

The pleasure is mine (:
Update
As you all have been informed, due to 4 of our players leaving, and the merger of 3 pools into 2, the players with the 2 highest scores amongst all the 3rd and 4th placing players will get a place in the next round. They will be seeded 15th and 16th.
So far all the action taking place has been in Pool 3, where there have been 4 eliminations in the 5 games being played. All other pools have yet to see a single elimination.
Edit. And last one for me: Game 7403081. 5th one is going to go bad because somebody killed my huge stack just for fun
I wonder if this round has helped me to the top or not. I'm pretty behind but.... Hmm, probably wasn't enough. Nevertheless, this round has helped me keep me near my personal best, I wonder if I'll manage to make a new PB score for myself.
"Thou shalt accept thy dice rolls as the will of the Gods" (Church of Gaming) "amazzony is a beast" (Woodruff)
Game results are filtering in, and Pool 3 has even completed their entire Round, with amazzony coming close to having a clean sweep, falling short of a place in Round 2. Hybrid Pool A is also close to completing all their games, with Krissan and Risky_Stud both having secured places for themselves in the finals.
The gap between the scores of players in Pool 8 decreases with the completion of their first game, and the spots in the next round remains keenly contested by all the players in the Pool, with the first and last places being separated by a difference of only 5 points, and the first being only 1 point away from the two tied in second.
Round 1 is almost finally complete, with only ONE game remaining to be completed! We can't proceed till this game is completed though, as the seeding (and thus groupings) for the next round will be decided based upon this.
However, the players moving on to Round 2 are already set in stone. For whoever is interested, they are the following: Pool 1: Ninja Champion (84), Fenser_ipo (61) Pool 2: shaneback (71), nippersean (68) Pool 3: cena-rules (74), rishark1969 (67) Pool 5: Draco74 (60++), Aalmeida17 (59++) Pool 8: ViperOverLord (68), Moop (64) Hybrid Pool A: Krissan (70), Risky_Stud (64) Hybrid Pool B: uckuki (71), Milen83 (67) Wildcard 1: Frito Bandito (67) Wildcard 2: Arya (62)
Details on the scoreboard will be uploaded once the last game is complete.
For ties in seeding, the player with the greater number of game won will be the higher placed seed. If that's the same, the one with less bonus points will be the higher placed seed. Except for Risky_Stud, who played less games, and thus naturally take the lower seed.
This method was also used to differentiate whether Arya or benga would get the last wildcard spot.
All games have started, and Group A is blazing through their games, each at Round 10 already! They are also the first to have any casualties and have a game completed, Ninja Champion taking the first win.
Set 2 for Round 2 has been sent out, and Group A is still the only group to have completed any games, completing 4 of their first 5 games already.
Hopefully more results from the other groups will start filtering in soon. I'll update the scoreboard when I send out Set 3, and hopefully there'll be more numbers on the board then.
Group A has finished all their games in Set 1, while there finally was a first casualty outside of Group A! Moop was eliminated from Group D's game on Alexander's Empire, making him the first non-Group A casualty of the round.
The faster you finish your games, the lighter your game load will be (:
We're on to Set 3, and the games have been sent out. Till now, only 1 game outside of Pool A as been completed, as all the games run on smoothly.
Scoreboard has been updated with the scores so far. Currently Ninja Champion, the top seed coming into the round, takes the lead with 30 points, but the field is still open with less than half the games completed.
Will update the scoreboard again once more scores pour in (:
I'll be delaying the games for this week to this Thursday, as there are some Pools which still have close to 15 games on your gameload now, so I don't want to be increase that to 20 so soon. Games have continued trickling in, 10 being completed since I last updated the scoreboard. I'll update the scoreboard on Thursday along with the last set of games.
Also, Krissan is the first player of this round to complete a game in less than 8 rounds. Unfortunately he fell just a few territories short of eliminating all opponents in a round, and thus lost out on the second bonus point. He now stands only 1 point behind Ninja Champion, the current leader of their Pool.
Pool A is 1 game away from completion, and top place is still in contention between Ninja Champion and Krissan who have both been matching each other point for point most of the way! Now only 3 points separate them, and Krissan will need to finish 2 places above Ninja Champion to move on to the next round.
Pool B is currently led by Fenser_ipo, with the closest competitor being ViperOverLord. The gap is now large, but anything can happen, with the amount of games remaining to be completed.
Pool C sees hot competition between the players, with the top 3 players within 2 points of each other, with exactly half their games completed. It'll be a close race to the top!
Pool D mainly has Milen83 and shaneback competing with one another, and are currently tied for the top spot, also with exacfly half of their games accounted for already.
With the number of games left in Pool B, C, and D, it's still anybody's game! Don't lose heart, and fight for those points!
Pool A is finished, with Ninja Champion, the top seed from the previous round, proving that his success is no fluke, coming out tops in his group yet again, making him our first finalist.
Pool B to D each have about 5 or 6 games remaining, and titles are still in contention between at least 2 players for the top spot! Give these last games your all!
Pool B has just 1 game remaining, but we can clearly call it that Fenser_ipo is the winner of the pool, with the results of the last game affecting nothing but the placing of the 2nd to 4th players. Congratulations to our second finalist!
Pool D is also close to finishing with 2 games remaining, and it's a race between Milen83 and shaneback. Though the former has the lead, it's still entirely possible for the latter to pull off a couple of tricks to leapfrog him!
Meanwhile, Pool C has all 5 games in Set 4 outstanding, where anything can still happen.
