The Warriors (Short Terminator Series, Relentless) Congratulations to Tomod for winning the tournament ! [/size]
Q: What is a ‘relentless’ tournament?
A: It is for relentless players – you get just 14 hours to take your turn.
If you take any longer than that more than once (in any single match) then you lose that match (score no points). The same applies if you or miss a turn (just one turn). Simple! It is up to players to report any infractions to the Tournament Organiser. Setting: Cyrus, the leader of the most powerful gang in New York City, the Gramercy Riffs, calls a midnight summit for all the area gangs, with all asked to send nine unarmed representatives for the conclave. As members of all gangs crowd together, a sniper takes Cyrus down. In the enschewing madness, the Warriors are accused of the shooting and soon become the hated enemy of every other gang in New York.
Can you lead the Warriors to victory against the other gangs as they are assailed from all angles accross the city?
This tournament is the third in a series of small knock-out terminator tournaments I am releasing. It is open to all players with a decent attendance record (see below). Freemiums welcome (one-game-at-a-time, although
very small chance of two-games-at-once in the finals stage).
This is another tournament in a series of short terminator tournaments I am releasing. It is open to all players with a decent attendance record (see below). Freemiums welcome although they will need to have 3 game slots open at all times.

The 2 players with most terminations will progress (in the event of a tie then finishing positions will be compared – if these are also equal then a tie-break will take place). Players finishing third in each group will play a 1 v 1 tie-breaker with the winner progressing.Semi-Finals: Two groups of 5 players each play 2 matches - one escalating, one flat rate. The Warriors You must act quickly as the gangs of New York are mustering their forces to attack you. Go Warriors! And good luck, you will need it. The Warriors The female DJ cuts in over the tunes you are listening to on the underground pirate radio station: "Ok, let's get down to it boppers. We're gonna have to do better out there. Our friends just made it past some of the major league teams. Remember boppers, be lookin' good!" The Warriors The female DJ cuts in over the tunes you are listening to on the underground pirate radio station: "Our friends are on second base and trying to make it all the way home ... But the inside word is that the odds are against them. Stay tuned boppers, stay tuned!" The Warriors Once again, the female DJ cuts in over the tunes you are listening to on the underground pirate radio station: "Boppers, the Warriors are at home base and safe!"
Players show
There will be 20 players. Players must have a 97% attendance record, have played a minimum 25 matches, and not have dropped out from one of my tournaments previously! Freemiums welcome, although beware that the tournament starts as soon as we have enough players. Players will have 24 hours to join their matches from when the joining PM is sent. Failure to do so will result in a reserve being sought (harsh, I know).
Reserves show
All reserves will be sent a PM when an opening occurs. The first reserve to respond will gain a place. For the first round, reserves will be drawn from the reserve list. After each round players knocked-out will be sent a PM if a reserve position occurs. If this is unsuccessful then the matches in question will take place with one fewer player. For the finals, reserves will not be sought - matches in question will take place with one fewer player.
Joining Matches show
Players will be informed when they have a match and will have 24 hours to join. If they fail to do so then they will be ejected from the tournament and a reserve will replace them.
Build-Up Matches show
The position of players at the end of 23 rounds will determine how they score (e.g. the number of terminations achieved at this point). The remainder of the game would then be a points-only affair.
Seedings / The Draw show
For all rounds players will be drawn into group at random by random.org.
Partnerships / Regular opponents show
Players must inform the tournament organiser if they have a regular partner or opponent that is also featuring in the tournament. The organizer can then ensure these players do not play together to avoid any potential claims of foul play by other players. If reports of suspected foul play are made and the players in question have not declared that they are regular partners / opponents then they will be both be ejected from the tournament without question or the need for irrefutable evidence.
