Whenever me and my buddy get together for a good 1-on-1 Risk game, we often play with variations on the rules sort of like monopoly.

Would it be possible to add in "house rules" as a stipulation in creating a game and make them stick? Like "No attacks in first round," "You can choose how many soldiers (read dice) to attack with," "You have to advance the amount of armies you attacked with," etc.

i like the suggestion but it would be complicated to initiate it. it could also slow down the game.
